That is unbelievably annoying.
You've uninstalled/reinstalled so I'm sure this won't help (what do I know?) but clearing the cache might be worth a shot.

Yeah no luck. Looking online looks like im not the only one with the problem.
If GCL wasn't included as part of my phone plan and I was paying I would be livid. More than i am now.

Agree on annoyed - I live in rural BC and, but for having a "Calgary address" on my account, I'd have to watch the stupid 'Nucks on my satellite TV. That is annoying, not entitled.

Pretty sure the blackouts are based on your IP address and have nothing to do with your billing address. I live in Calgary, Calgary billing address, but our internet is through a BC provider so game centre blacks out Canucks games but not the Flames games.

Signed up last night, for a month, to give it a shot. Flames game was blacked out, then I tried using UnblockUS, and it fails to login to the app. Anyone else have the same issues with that?

If it is anything like the MLB.tv app, the blackouts are applied differently depending on the app/device. E.g. from a phone with a GPS, it might try to make use of location service. From a game console, it might just be the IP. I agree that don't think the billing location factors into the blackouts. But just a suggestion to try a different device, as I had issues with MLB blackouts on certain devices, but working fine on others.

Resolution drops to unwatchable on laptop when I go full screen, or when I move the screen in the regular window.
Will cast to Chromecast from Android on 50% of games, other 50% says "The game will begin soon".
My Android tablet is the most watchable of all of them, and it's unreliable, especially when I try to change games.
A poster above said he would be livid if he paid for this. Well I did, and I'm livid. I tolerated this for three sets of games, but now it's ridiculous!
So if I can't watch on my laptop or desktop, can't watch on Chromecast, and am stuck watching unreliably on a 7 inch tablet, why am I paying good money for this?
I assume the NHL will square this with customers in some way. They had better.

OK, I discovered if I use Internet Explorer (which frankly I didn't even know was still on my computer), the full sized window keeps watchable resolution.
Of course the feed stutters every 10 seconds for a half second or so.

Keep trying to use the site. Keep being disappointed. The click to click to click to scroll to the info u want is just driving me crazy.
Sadly I think the app is better and it's not good either.
100% not getting GCL next year. Nor center ice.
Also, lol that NHL will compensate us for this comment. No chance of that.

I just cancelled cable tv last week. I'm glad I haven't paid for a streaming service yet.

I watched some of the Friday game on the new Game Centre. I had one buffering issue but the video feed itself seemed smoother. On the old there kind of a weird choppiness to it that made it obvious you weren't watching on TV, this one was much smoother/more TV like.
Used Ipad Mini --> Chromecast to my Tv.

The new NHL.tv is markedly better than the old gamecenter on PS4.
It's not perfect, but definitely better. It's basically the same on PC, and I haven't tried it on mobile/tablet yet.

So this is fun.
I've been using NHL.tv on my 4th Gen appleTV, and for the most part after the first night it has worked fairly well.
But the interface doesn't look any different, only chance has been better stream quality.
Turns out, NHL.tv's new fancy AppleTV isn't available in Canada.
Just a massive **** you to Rogers for yet again screwing over Canada.

Just thought I'd throw in my new experience with NHL.tv
I had subscribed to an unspeakable streaming service for the last two seasons, but they're servers went quiet four or five days ago. Doubt they're coming back.
Needless to say, I was out of a streaming service to watch games, so I bought NHL.tv for a month to try it out. I've been watching games on my Xbox One and I'm very impressed with the quality and frame rate. I had a bit of trouble signing in at first on the Xbox, so I signed in to my laptop, then signed back in to my Xbox and it seemed to work perfectly.
When you first start a game the quality will be rough, but stream it for a few more minutes and the quality enhances quite nicely. Mine is 60Hz and 720p if you wait about five minutes.
Although I live in Abbotsford, so Flames games don't black out.
