Great period, hopefully they can do that again in 2nd

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
Agree.. Nothing wrong with Colborne but he doesn't have the sense of urgency and know how to do anything real quick like little chip passes and quick releases.
This is where Ferland has been so great. He gets the quick little passes away so well. Really loving his play lately. Almost every time he touches the puck he executes a succesful pass or a shot on net.

Josh Jooris adds that "LA Kings" relentless fore check dimension we badly need. Hopefully he stays in over Bollig.
Yep, Bollig is a strange case. He actually looked quite good and served a purpose in the playoffs. Yet I'd say he's had 1 or 2 games over the past 2 regular seasons where I'd say he was worth playing over whoever else was available.

Yep, the only downside at the moment is he changes so quickly. We'll have possession and he'll take off for a change when even an extra 10 seconds could lead to great pressure and a scoring chance.

Bollig is ok at forechecking IF the puck is still there when he arrives. But Jooris is miles ahead in his own zone, and Bollig has no answer for that.
Palat, Johnson, and Kucherov are all below average size, super-highly skilled, great skaters, relentless forecheckers, and great two-way players who think the game at a very high level who have a certain ESP ability to control the puck. They were the best line the league last year all the way to the cup final when Kucherov got injured.
Their coach called them the triplets and it seems to have stuck a bit. Either way they're a hell of a line, and we were lucky last time we played the Lightning that Palat was injured, and we're lucky right now that the Flames are playing amazing and keeping the puck out of their hands. You give that line the puck and they're just as dangerous as Kane/Panarin's line.

I agree 100%, I wonder if this is a coaching demand or if he runs out of steam that quickly? I am assuming it is coaching and that we might see him staying out a little longer if he keeps it up.

Just got home and tried turning on the game, and it's blacked out here in Vancouver. I don't understand why this is a regional broadcast when it's currently the only game on Sportsnet right now. Why not just broadcast it Canada wide?? F U, Rogers.
