I feel like Hickey has a great chance to make the team. I know they do a lot of scouting but a focused camp like this and they'll see what he is all about.

Hicketts is probably the only lock at this point. Only returning player on D from last year. That's why he didn't have a partner.

Just like Point, who is penciled in to be the #1 center for Canada.

Dunn leaves Canada's camp. Leaves 10 D for 7 spots

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
STL prospect Vince Dunn of NIA had to leave CAN nat'l jr camp due to injury suffered in OHL play. Not healthy enough to compete for spot.

It means he will dress. How much ice time he will get is still unknown.

It's an exhibition game meant to evaluate players, no limit on roster size.

Hey is that Mike Toth calling the game? Man I miss that guy. The O.G goofball sports anchor. Long before Onrait, there was Toth.

Julien Gauthier's forecheck causes a turnonver leads to Canada scoring.

Believe Gauthier just scored on the PP 2-0 Canada.

edit: it was Gauthier pass to Dermott.

and then Canada gives up 2 goals quickly bad turnovers on each. not sure I would blame McDonald. tie game

It was very hard to make out Canadian players' numbers as the lettering was black on red. Even the play-by-play, announcer, Mike Toth, was unable to say who had the puck and had to resort to saying things like "team Canada moves the puck into the CIS zone" and "team Canada gets a shot on net". I watched the first period but I'm not sure I'll watch the rest.

Going to try the TSN link... not sure if it is any different, but if they have one of their PBP guys doing it he may be able to pick out the names. Apparently Gord Miller is there.

Toth just made light of the fact the numbers suck. "My eyes aren't what they used to be, I'm getting old and can't see anything, but we're doing the best we can"

The TSN link appears to have a different angle.

No PBP on TSN's feed but much easier to read numbers. The TSN camera actually zooms in on the play

Didn't see it but McDonald gave up another goal.

Canada ties it 3-3 with a PP goal from Sanheim. Gauthier screening the goalie. Gauthier is going to be good. Factor in all 3 Canadian goals tonight. 2 Assists tonight.
