I am not sure how people are saying Dougie Franchise Hamilton and Jay Bouwmeester sound similar.

Dougie seems laid back, but he has more depth to his answers and actually smiles and shows emotion. Jay was a souless guy who looked very out of place during a press conference usually starring right into the camera and saying uhhhhh uhhhh.

Not soulless - just very introverted and shy IMO. I'm betting he's a good guy with his buddies.

Bouwmeester was just painfully awkward.

Too bad he and Brent Sutter seemed like the worst combination.

Well, hopefully Frolik or Hamilton don't struggle, or this picture will be proof positive for some in this city that these guys don't want really to be here, and never did, and they just chased the money that the Flames were throwing at them.

How are they supposed to look, all smiles?? How they work with the coach and their new teammates will determine how much they want to be here. If they are a problem I am sure Treliving will have no issues flipping them for assets.

I am sure they are thrilled to be here, how could they not be?

It seemed like that picture was taken as someone was asking Treliving a question and the two players were just kinda pensively looking on. Heck of an overreaction.

yeah, it is a still. Taken completely out of constant. Anyone who watched the introductions can see that they both were anything but what is shown at that millisecond.

I thought it was the media in boston that was trying to ruin Hamilton....

It's one of those pictures taken as people are moving. The guys were probably looking around and both looked at Treliving as he answered a question. Just a picture guys.

But I did hear that both Hamilton and Frolik hate puppies and don't hold the door open for others.

Hahahaha this reminds me of when Gaudreau signed his contract without a smile and someone said

"Doesn't look like he wants to play in Calgary" or something ridiculous.

Likely a little later on today as they'll have individual interviews added on too. That is of course if the Flames tech staff have figure out how to operate the equipment they have. Man they've been sub par for two years now.

I know I keep a smile on my face at all times, so that if anyone ever takes a picture, I can be considered happy and not a money grubbing, uppity loner who hates everything except himself.

Imagine Bennett will wear 93 since Burke let Frolik beat the high number barrier with 67.

Even seeing Hamilton and Frolik don those jerseys for the first time still hasn't let it sink in yet that these two guys are Calgary Flames. I can't even...literally!
