Kylington talks about why he fell: (in swedish)
http://www.hockeysverige.se/2015/06/...-paverkat-mig/

Google translate:
Quote:
He was ranked as high as the top five in the early rankings before draften. During the season, Oliver Kylington fallen down to the end of the first round. Self claim back the talent that he has not been affected by it.
- I have fallen because of injuries and the coach, but it's nothing I want to whine, says 18-year-old to hockeysverige.se.

Very smart, calculated risk by Treliving and Co.

24 hours ago I wanted us to take a risk on him with #45 if he was still available. Thrilled to get him at 60

Sweden is still a top-tier place to develop Dmen, even though Kylington struggled last year. The longer we can drag out his money contract the better, because in 5 years the Flames blueline money is going to be getting PAID with Brodie's new-new contract as our franchise Dman, Hamilton's new contract he's about to sign, and probably Gio's new extension is still on the books, and of course Bennett/Gaudreau/Monahan.

First off, I literally couldn't believe Kylington dropped that low. I was 100% certain he'd go in the first round. Us getting him at 60? I'm shocked (in a good way)

This draft has just been incredible. Treliving is a genius. To me I find it so interesting that this draft day basically started way back with the Glencross trade and Baertschi trade, then he worked to upgrade the upgrade he received. And upgrade he did!

Yesterday morning we were all worried at our defensive depth. Now, the rest of the West is worried about the Flames depth.

Constinteno says Kylington interviewed very badly. Came off as brash and arrogant to some teams, even overly cocky.

A bit of PK Subban in him

While Kylington said the Flames interview went really well in his opinion.

Burke isn't scared of players with a lot of cocky confidence I bet, probably respects it to a degree.
