"Quite well" if you don't mind crashes on the regular.
Get it on console at this stage. I rarely advocate console of PC, but in this case the crashes are just too much.
I've only ever played it on console. I was more meaning how it's aged than anything. Although a co-worker just played through it on steam a few months ago didn't seem too buggy.
Always get Fallout and Elder scrolls for the computer, IMO! Mods mods mods! There are people out there building fan storylines and DLCs that are pretty impressive! Fallout 3 is built for Windows XP so you just need to set the ini file to one core on a multicore system. There's a lot of info out there on it. Also visit the Nexus forums for MODS!

Fallout 3 and New Vegas hold up just fine. If you've never played them I would highly recommend both. They look dated (honestly, they looked dated when they were new) but they're so fun.
Don't buy the Game of the Year editions though. They're so buggy. If you want the DLC buy a regular edition of the game and get the DLC separately.

As much as PC is more current and better overall tech, at this point in time I prefer console gaming. Probably because I'm lazy. I enjoy grabbing the remote, sitting on the couch and booting it up with one touch, and away we go. Once upon a time I was caught up in PC gaming constantly purchasing upgrades and new graphics cards every 1-2 years. And of course you can hook up a PC to a TV display, but I dunno. As of now I enjoy keeping it simple with the consoles.
Consoles will get some mod support sure but I can't imagine it'll make as big a difference as on PC. Certainly not much in the way of things like high resolution textures or graphical upgrades. Console will likely already be pushed to the limit performance wise anyhow (you'll lose frame rate to offset probably).
Biggest difference will likely be texture packs. Anyways, the new trailer, this isn't in engine is it?
Seriously though that can't be gameplay. Looks amazing nonetheless.

I probably agree but it would require me buying an entirely new PC, so I'll probably end up with the PS4 version. Not on launch, though; I am putting it off a bit. Though I'm having second thoughts.
I'm also having a serious snob attack here and would like to propose that if you've never played the first two games you have to surrender your copy to me until you have done so.

^Hard to import most food, but also promotional stuff like that is usually in stores only. Probably just easier to get on eBay.
