I met Brent Sutter 2 weeks ago in Medicine Hat. The Rebels were staying in the hotel we were in. He rode in the elevator with my kids and I. Told him I might catch a Rebels home game since I worked in Red Deer during the week, to which he replied, "Oh yeah?"

My cousin is the backup for the Predators. I've seen a couple games in Winnipeg the last couple seasons and been able to go in the "family/friend area" after the game. Guys like Nystrom and Weber were back there. We sat beside a friend of Phil Housley's at the game (he's a coach for the Predators). Someone that coached with him before Phil worked for the Preds. The one player I had to introduce myself to was Olli Jokinen. He had a large contingent of fans from Winnipeg that were enthusiastic to see him. I told him I enjoyed watching him play in Calgary and shook his hand.

My cousin played for the Blackhawks' organization before joining Nashville and as a result he had received a Stanley Cup ring. He was sending it home for safe keeping the weekend I saw him play (which was his first career NHL victory) so I got to hold it in my hands. Man, was it impressive!

In Thunder Bay, there was a charity hockey game and I got autographs from all the Staal brothers (except Eric), Patrick Sharp and a couple others.

Went to an Anne Murray concert with a friend in Ottawa. Met Anne Murray in the airport in Hamilton heading home.

We were at our friend wedding in Punta Cana and all of a sudden a drunk Cliff Fletcher lets out a "whooooo" with double fisted beers at the entrance. Every went nuts and cheered and he hung out for a good couple hours drinking and dancing. The guy is a ton of fun.

I do work at the Westerner in Dead Rear, and see Brent all the time.

Nice fella.

Sat next to MacT on a flight back from Kelowna. We had an empty seat between us and I tried to ignore the #### out of him because I was hungover from a stag. Just kept wanting to chat. I gave him no tips to improve the team (as you can see).

Lou Ferrigno made an appearance at a Safeway I was working at in the 90s, and I got him to sign my apron. He gave 110%.

I was the voice-over on a commercial for a radio show called "North American Scum" on Edge 99.3 FM in Hobart, Tasmania.

And last year I got punched in the face a bunch by current Binghamton Sens/former Blackhawks and Devils player Brad Mills. He's actually a really nice guy. I learned to never accept an offer for a "mutual understanding" fight from anybody, especially a hockey player. The worst part was having to get my work ID photo taken a few days later with a huge black eye. Doesn't really scream "professional" in my profession.

I played one semi-professional soccer game for Calgary United a few years back...yay? I assume most haven't heard of them, as we were actually an indoor professional team. My one game played was in tropical Saskatoon. Enough about me though...

NSFW for size. This is my great Uncle Leigh Miller. February 9th, 1928, he set the world record in the 100 yard dash, at 10.6 seconds to become the fastest man in the world. He actually tied someone in the same race (not shown in picture). Obviously much harder to prove who was ahead at the line in those days. They didn't have starting blocks back then, but it's amazing how far sprinters have come since then!

There's a picture (not the one below) of him holding me when I was a baby, but he passed away shortly after.

NSFW!

I was at the Cinescape in Eau Claire (early 2000's) when I saw Seth Green playing video games. Approached him and asked him what he was doing here in Calgary and he said "playing video games" hahaha...errrr he then said "filming a movie" which I believe was Rat Race.
Didn't have a pen except for the one that pops out in a Swiss Army knife so when I asked for an autograph he thought I was going to stab him for making the lame joke. He smelled nice though.

Chris Jerico was doing a "meet & greet" at a bar my girlfriend worked at. A bunch of staff were drinking after it closed down. I was passed out at home and woke up to a phone call from him, we talked for 10 minutes about really random things. He was hilarious. Appearntly a bunch of them were going to come up to my apartment and he was going to lay next to me and wake me up. Girlfriend forgot my key so the phone call was the next best thing.

Bryan Adams came into the bookstore I was working at and stood waiting impatiently at the desk while his British manager and blonde Scandinavian girlfriend looked at books. The guy is really small, and clearly illiterate - who goes into a bookstore and doesn't even pick up a book? When he was ready to go, he whistled and his girlfriend and manager hurried up to the desk to pay for their books.

A good friend lived with (Leslie) Feist before she broke big, so hung out with her a lot. Talent and ambition were evident even then.

Shared a small elevator with Peter Lougheed and my parents a few years before Lougheed died. Lougheed realized my parents recognized him and smiled at my mom with those blue eyes. Then he graciously held open the elevator for her. My mom almost melted.

I used to work banquets at the Glencoe Club, and served lots of local media and politicians. One time Ed Whalen balked at the prime rib I put in front of him, saying it was too rare. Another person at the table kidded him about it, and Whalen said that was easy for him to say, his was fine. So I swapped plates. They thought it was funny.

I've met every Canadian PM going back to and including Trudeau.

I've met Wayne Gretzky several times when I worked with the brother of Vicki Moss; she and Wayne dated for a long time.

I had a very small speaking part in a movie many years ago.

I know your Mayor Nenshi.
