The No Good thread was locked because it was too big, causing the forums to load slower. Think about that, Edmonton is so not good that they caused this entire site to go sluggish because we couldn't stop talking about their nogoodness. That's something pretty special

Whoa, that's crazy talk. The Oilers season ends on Saturday. Then, they're into No Good 2015-16 territory.

See, Edmonton? Rebuilding isn't that hard. You just need to get players who give a damn.

I wonder what the reaction would have been in the summer of 06, and you told an Oilers fan that the Winnipeg Jets would make the playoffs before the Oilers.

Isn't this still necessary though? An Oilers victory on Saturday is crucial to getting home ice advantage in rd 1...

This. Let's allow that thread to die, get the site speed back up and focus on the Flames playoff run.

This. That win on Tuesday for them ended up being as uselessly relevant to the Flames' situation as any part of that Oilers organization has over the past 9 years.
There is never, ever, outside of the Oilers having to need to beat a team on the final game of the season where the Flames have no control over their situation to make the playoffs, a reason for any Flames fan to cheer for the Oilers, celebrate an Oilers win, or be sympathetic to them in any way, shape, or form.

You're absolutely right. There's no reason whatsoever to discuss the Oilers because we are in the PLAYOFFS and the Oilers aren't.

ATB Place was emblazoned in Flames colours Thursday night when the team clinched its first playoff berth in six years, spokesman Barry Strader said.
The tower’s LED lights will also be fired up tonight and on nights the Flames play.
He acknowledged the gesture could rub some Edmontonians the wrong way, but said it was important to applaud an Alberta-based team.
The building was lit up in Calgary Stampeder colours when the CFL team won the Grey Cup and has celebrated the Alberta curling team during the Scotties, he said.
“With Calgary making the playoffs for the first time in six years, we wanted to celebrate that because, after all, ATB is an Alberta company,” Strader said.
“Are we worried that Edmonton fans will riot? I don’t think so. There might be a few Edmonton fans who get their dander up by seeing Calgary colours on an Edmonton building, but it’s all in good fun and we’re definitely supportive of the playoff team that’s going to be representing our province this year.”

Results from the Oliers survey http://www.edmontonjournal.com/Oiler...782/story.html
Personally I'm shocked Ben Scrivens isn't ranked higher!!
I mean he does alot of things good like; suck, let goals in, let the fans down, suck, make fans wish they kept that 2014 3rd, and on and on...

e=ng doesn't change because of one game or two. it is a systemic, cultural, strategic mindset backed up with statistics, facts, and emotions.
oilers aren't no good because they won a hockey game; that's ridiculous.
how no good are the oilies? so no good that observations of no goodness physically slowed down a rival team's supporters' website! that's no good! or maybe being good at no goodness, which is double no good.
I would ask that the original no good thread be hermetically sealed and placed in a time capsule so future generations have a point of reference. Mods should also put a final note in the thread explaining that the thread was closed due to size and negative impact on CP performance to explain why it was locked.
Edmonton won't stop being no good because we are in the playoffs, and with 1 oilies game left there is still plenty of time for more no goodness this season. and this is without even mentioning the draft lottery!
I implore the immediate creation of a new thread e=ng part 2: no goodness goodness.
thank you.

If the Oilers win in regulation today, Edmonton is in fact, quite good.

There's a lesson to be learned here.
If at any moment you feel like the Oilers actually achieved something of note, do not be alarmed. The feeling will pass within a matter of days. You might want to avoid operating heavy machinery or any contact with crazy ex's in the meantime, as your judgement is clearly temporarily impaired.

Brossoit played and looked really good the other night. The team hung him out to dry though.
