True, but they usually step into the NHL at the beginning of a season, and not at game 78, right in the middle of a heated playoff race.

Like I said, I'm good if they bring him to the NHL immediately, but I can't see it. Treliving isn't geared that way IMO.

When he hadn't played in months and was coming off injury, that was a valid concern. He's showed his shoulder is fine and played at a such a high level it looked like he was too good for the CHL.

The quote was from Treliving. Both Sean and Johnny played their first NHL game before Treliving was hired.

Johnny's first game last year was part of getting him to sign. If the logic you were referring to is absolute (and the point is I don't think it is) he would have started the season in the minors.

I get the logic, I just don't think that statement is all encompassing. There are special talents, and I think Bennett is one of them.

One would have to think Treliving has seen the drop off in scoring after our top line and this seems like an excellent way to bolster offense. Even if it's for a couple games against the softest teams in the league. As I said above, in all honesty if he were to go to the AHL his first game might be against a team superior to the Edmonton Oilers.
