That "BOBS" written on Bobrovsky's mask is very unfortunate. Is is supposed to be mayonnaise? Glue? Yop?
Looks like something I might have seen in a movie once, when I was younger.

"Looks like a table hockey goalie!"
I got a hearty chuckle. What a shot.

I feel Engelland is going to get his first today. Been close on a couple shots. I like this period for us other than about five bad minutes in the middle on the almost goal and then the goal

We don't mention it a lot but Monahan is really developing a strong defensive game too!

Where are those giant yellow tubes? 30+ years of going to the Saddledome, and I've never seen those things before.

Healthy Scratches?
Was there a reason given why Josh Jooris & Drew Shore are not playing today?

Pretty solid period by the Flames, other than Engelland's terrible giveaway. Teams usually come out flat in afternoon games, but the Flames had plenty of jump and created some quality scoring chances. Bobrovsky is the only reason this game is still tied.

During the radio pre game show, they said he had 'bumps and bruises.' Not sure exactly what that means but I'd guess, day to day?

Pretty sure both Shore and Jooris aren't 100%. May as well go with healthy bodies, otherwise Byron would be in.

The refing in this league is really hurting my enjoyment of the game. So many games with just blatant missed calls. What other league do refs just not make calls and routinely miss flagrant violations?

Believe it or not, but NHL refs crap over English Premier League refs. Mind you, hockey craps over soccer so its all relative I suppose.
