I'm betting not that long...
After seeing that game I cannot see them winning a bunch more. Lost to Canucks in regulation with a poor effort, then only a good first period in this one. They're in for a correction with their schedule

I don't think harping on the poor starts is being negative. I also feel that the comebacks are kind of overshadowing that this team simply doesn't come prepared to play in the first period of games. It's really not acceptable what's going on with this team as it really is going to start costing them wether it causes them to miss the playoffs or get beat in a seven game series it will do them in eventually.

One play, thats great.

He pretty much has the same amount of goals this year that he did in his best college year.

He's really not that type of player and I really question his long term NHL future.

He might be able to grind his way to a 4th line/extra forward type career.

He hasnt been adding much lately though.

I was in the middle of posting a Lotus Esprit when the goal went in. I blame myself.

Is there any way to go back to when Dumba was being held up in the minors and make a deal for him?

I feel certain that Lotus would have done the trick.

Jooris played on the 3rd line with Glencross and Raymond. Tonight, Jooris was the worst player on that line. He had a bad game, it happens.

It was pretty bad positioning by him. He had a great game, but that wasn't just bad luck, it was a poor play. He should have been higher in the slot.

Everyone knows that you just come here to rain down negativity as a schtick, but this honestly makes me wonder if you even watch the games.

That's your take on Jooris this year? After he battled his way onto the team against all odds and is on pace for 15 goals 30 points as a rookie 4th line energy guy?

Yea, those things all lead to questioning his future for sure. That's the first thing people are thinking when they look at his rookie campaign to date.

Unreal

Well actually you can as the goal is on him for poor positioning giving Koivu a skate to bank the puck off. I love the kid but it's okay to call him out when he's not playing well. He will learn from these mistakes as it's his first season of professional hockey.

Oh come on. Drop the martyr complex already.

The mods have told you the issue is not that you have negative opinions, it's that you make one point and repeat it non-stop.

Hartley's system is all about collapsing in the D zone. Was he too far in deep, maybe by a couple steps, but can't fault him because that's the system. We never have a forward high in the slot.

Haha yeah. He doesn't even look like a hockey guy. I think he also just inherited the same system from the previous coaching as their style is largely the same (trap and lane clogging galore, aka boring as ####) they just have some more talented players now.
