Highlights for me - thought Backlund was very effective in a shut down role against Joe Thornton. Russell was a beast, probably his best game all year. Bouma was throwing down the big hits. Byron made a great play Russell goal. Colborne continues to be effective - nice set up to Raymond. Hiller is really in the zone.

Fantastic stuff.

I might be in the minority but i'd love to face Vancouver in the 1st round if we make it.

Yeah........yep, me too. Just way too much going on to post. Totally know that feeling, yeah definitely man. Keep preaching to the choir.

Every time I think of something to post I go "Yep, I have time to post this, along with a bunch of random CP surfing as well, and if I think of something ten minutes from now, I'll have time to post that too!".

Russell with his best game this season. He was so good. I love that Raymond is getting hot and we are scoring by committee. This wasn't an exciting game to be at but it was a great win. The boys played great D and Hiller was awesome!!!

Hiller is a distant memory from being a bean spiller against Florida to being a Shark killer!! He came up big in the third, but it wasn't ever in doubt.

Monahan has tied his point total from last year while playing 23 games less & playing against other teams top lines. The sky is the limit for Sean.

Yeah, the Flames goal differential seems to suggest that their place in the standings is no fluke.

I was sort of hoping Kris Russel would end the season with 0 goals and 30 assists. I cant ever remember that happening. What a bargain he is though, 2.6 as a pending UFA for what he brings, that was a hell of a reup by Burke.

Byron was very effective tonight. Besides his setup of Russell, his forechecking and board work allowed the Flames to establish possession which led to Raymond's goal. It's pretty clear that his detractors are just wrong. He is a bonafide NHLer. And Hartley loves having Paulie on his team. He's making just above the league minimum. What a bargain.

I agree. Just a solid solid top-tier player.

Shout out to Stajan who I thought had a great game. In our end and on the PK.

I love this team. No passengers. Seems every night somebody else contributes to the win. Kids are being sprinkled in and having an impact. Hell, our third string AHL goalie (of the future) came up and won 4/5 very important games. So much fun!

He has an outside shot at 30 goals, which would be sick.

Great win by the Flames but Bouma has to sit. Can't score on empty nets.

Hell, If theywon only 3 in that 8 game slide they would be nipping at the Ducks heels for 1st in the Pacific.
