Saw a commercial but missed the premiere. Is the "no collar" group like hippies? as the captain says above?

Didn't care for anyone on the Blue Collar Tribe (although I found Lindsay strangly attractive... strangely because ink doesn't do anything for me and facial tattoo's creep me out).

The only person on the Blue tribe that I can see making it far is the Storm Trooper. State Trooper. That was way to funny of a mistake not to leave it as is.
She seemed to be pretty level headed..
I think the Red tribe is more of a personality type than a lifestyle choice, if that makes sense? For instance one of them is a law student, so she clearly isn't a 'hippie' in the sense of a drug addict or someone who just refuses to conform to society. I am a little confused by it myself though. But whatever, as long as they cast guys like feather hair I would ask that they did another season like this. We have some pure gold on the way. I can't wait for his dramatic melt down at tribal accusing (what will be by that point in his mind) his wife of sleeping with the other guy.

I don't doubt he did it but I didn't see it. I was looking at other things at the time....
But that guy is just creepy.

Just watched the premiere, this cast looks like it'll be an entertaining one.
Creepy guy (Vince) is going to be TV gold. He kind of reminds me of Coach with his delusions. The longer this guy stays, the better the eventual meltdown will be.
Joe from the No Collar is a Malcolm clone. He's likeable and good at challenges, and hopefully he's good strategically as well.
Rodney (tattoo guy) is a schemer. Admitting that he was using the story about his dead sister to gain favor with his tribemates is interesting. Most probably think he has no chance of winning, but Tony played a similar game a couple seasons ago and won. He seems well liked so far (the fat old guy is the one everyone hates so far on Blue Collar) and is strong. I could see him going far.
Max looks like the early favorite to win.

I agree that it was a Tony style move, but it's far too early to say if Rodney is capable of playing as good a game as Tony. Everybody's fresh and bubbly and at the top of their game early on, but Tony made calm and calculated moves down the stretch. Lots of game left to be played.

Until that Boston guy builds a spy shelter he will never be as great as Tony!

Well, I felt that one went the right way. Was wondering how that tribe would end up voting, and I think Vince was just a bit too high on the creepy/untrustworthy scale for the rest of them.

The no collar tribe is just way more anal then the white collar tribe. I mean Vincent is walking around asking for validation, the deaf lady is upset because they didn't invite her to a skinny dip.
The Blue Collar tribe is lazy and the White collar tribe are turning into hippies.
This is turning out to be a really interesting season.

Good job by the editors to find the exact moment Will decided to flip. So many times in Survivor we've seen someone talk their way out of a vote.
Vince was entertaining just because of his crazy scale, but if it was between him and Joe I would rather see Joe stay.

Was happy to see Vince go, though I will kinda miss him. It's always a better show when the characters stick around for awhile. Definitely a strange strange dude.

I dunno...
depends on what you want more... poor mans Coach/Philip hybrid or poor mans Ozzy/Malcolm hybrid. I can see an argument for both.

Very shocked (and disappointed) that Vince went so soon - he looked like he was going be absolute TV gold all season. That came out of nowhere. This feels like what would happen if Coach was voted out second.
Nina bringing up Vince's worries about Will's health to Will was an awful move, that made it a very easy decision for Will to flip and join the majority. Also didn't really care for Nina's complaining about being left out early in the episode.
The decision to split votes from Joe's alliance this early was way too risky, they got very lucky this time. The constant paranoia about someone having the idol is too much.

Pretty good episode. Glad to see Nina go, even if she was one of my pool picks, just really really annoying and had no confidence in herself about anything.
Interesting that it's a 2 hour episode next week, hopefully that means it has a lot of good stuff next week.

Glad Nina is gone too. The edit almost had me there with her little speech at the end of tribal - I thought Will was probably going home after that, he looks to be the sneakier of the two.
The blue collar tribe is destined for an epic meltdown with all the dysfunction and conflicts happening at camp. I hope we're not robbed of at least one blue collar tribal council before tribe swap.
For the 2 hour episode I'm guessing someone gets the medivac in the first hour, cancelling tribal and leaving tribal for the second hour. Or someone on the blue collar tribe loses their mind and pulls a Brandon Hantz.

I like players like Lindsey. How excited she was for her tribe to win even though she wasn't even in the challenge.
Anybody there to play the damn game and play it hard gets respect in my books.

This is shaping up to be an interesting year, though I do think that the No's have done themselves some serious hurt until a merge, unless Will can start actually doing something in a challenge.
Lindsey made an interesting point about the Blues, too...they all think they work they hardest compared to every other blue. I wonder where a tribal with them would go.

A two hour episode this early tells me a few things...
1: No one quits this year,
2: The first half of the episode is likely going to be boring/predictable,
3: We go from 3 tribes to 2 tribes
I really like how they've edited the show this year. A lot of the time on Survivor you can sort of tell which tribe is going to win immunity based on pre-challange screen time but they've used the extra minutes from having no reward challange to spread out the edit and give each tribe a potential tribal boot narrative.
My prediction for next week is that hour 1 is a standard Survivor episode, No Collar loses again and Will is sent packing. Hour 2 kicks off with Jeff making two new tribes via random draw and all the tension that's been building up in Blue Collar finally boiling over and one of Dan/Mike going home.

Yeah the 2 hour thing is just insurance ever since the NaOnka/Purple Kelly double quit.

Ouch, there goes one of my picks, though it was my 'forced' pick. Interesting tribal. Not sure I agree with the choice, though. Thought folks would go out for Rodney.
