They do look out of sync a bit, and their passes are off. Don't forget though, they just had 4 days off, so I would chalk it up to rust more than anything. Flames need to wake up, start using their speed, and get their forecheck going in the 2nd. The longer they let this garbage Coyotes team hang around, the more there's a chance it'll bite them in the arse later in the game.

Enjoyed the bit they did on Shores shift. It was pretty cool and informative.

Some 1st Period Notes:
-I know Mike Smith is struggling, but this concept of shooting from anywhere means that we enter the zone, shoot a long distance wrister, then lose possession. Need a little true pressure to rattle him.
-Shore looks terrific. Reliably in the right position, nothing fancy, but as advertised. So far glad to have him.
-Ortio with one of the Flames best saves of the season
-Need to get the legs going a bit, especially with adding the D into the rush. Gio and Brodie are solid defensively but have lost the extra offensive jump in the last month, and this would be a great game to get it back.

Shore is fast. Wasn't expecting that. Credited with a couple of shots and he made some decent plays in all 3 zones.

She does that with names. I just heard "Raymery" during the Flyers highlights

Man John Shannon and this other guy interjecting during the highlights is lame. They're trying to be so funny but it's just not.

Well that was a good first period. Drummer chick tightened up the snare and sounded crisp on the cymbals.
