The Flames are 35-22-3 since the brawl night in Vancouver on January 18, 2014.

Over 82 games, that is exactly a 100 point season.

They have not been playing well just this year, but it goes all the way back to January.

Looking back on Wideman goal, an absolute critical puck win by Jones after Glencross misses the puck on the rim around behind the net.

Jones was 4 steps away from the player when the puck was free, but hustles over and out muscles his man to win the puck. Passes back to Russell and he passes to Wideman, and the goal.

Those things like that hustle of Jones get lost in the overall story.

So with the new power rankings we should sit around 15th? Forget the fact we are the only team right now with 4 straight wins and forget the fact we are sitting just off first in the west but do not forget what the advanced stats say.
Someone needs to create some advanced stat that combines empty net goals, come backs, conditioning (third period goals) all into one.
