Very good first period by the Flames. You can see both teams are playing with confidence.

Good period. Sven is going to score tonight, despite Gooch's best (worst) efforts.

Not at great period, but we're tied 1-1 on the road against a pretty tough team. I'll take it!

Not the greatest period, but they gutted it out and came out of it tied. Can't complain too much.

Colby Armstrong talking about not pretty hockey.
I've seen it all.

- Sven didn't suck that period.
- Having Jooris on Monahan's line forces Monahan to move his feet. I like it.

Sven is looking good.
Also don't really see why people are going after Setoguchi.

The Flames are going toe to toe with one of the fastest teams in the league, I don't think I've ever seen a Calgary team with the kind of speed they have right now. So much more fun to watch than the dump/chase/grind we've been used to for so long

Yeah, Bollig's only contribution this year so far has been his fight in defence of Judge Jooris.
He's looked more capable than Westgarth last year... but that's not saying a lot.

Every time they say the new name of the Tampa arena, this is what I think of...

I laughed when I saw him on the panel. I didn't even notice he wasn't playing anymore.

How can you say it wasn't a good period? A top team and we kept up with them. Each team had its control at different times.
Sven has looked good so far.... Effort is there so I hope he is rewarded with a goal to get the monkey off his back.

Did Armstrong retire and now is an analyst?

yeah I thought the whole line had some jump. Hartley seems to agree since he gave all of them 5+ minutes so far and also put them out immediately after the Paquette goal
