ok, here goes the crazy, but I have to get it out of my system
Spoiler!
We see Ezra with a cross bladed light saber.
He's about 15 years old, and this show takes place about 40 years before the Force Awakens.
Kylo Ren builds a cross blade light sabre probably at the urging of his master Snoke.
the chin, the nose and the eye color are close, Ezra would be between 60 and 70 and could have been burned or injured. It might explain the whole obsession with Vader that's passed onto Kylo if Ezra ends up somehow falling to the dark side and serving Vader.
Crazy over

We know Ezra's power is growing and he's becoming more powerful.
He's touched the darkside a couple of times before, first on the abandoned Imperial Base where he faced the Inquisitor and raised that beast to attack it.
The second time was in the last episode of the year when he rushed both inquisitors and Kaanan slammed the door shut so that he couldn't attack them.
So now we have Kaanan training him, and he's no master. Ashoka shows him Anakin, and fills his head with Anakins greatness.
Now the storyline, he becomes more and more obsessed with fighting back against the empire that's responsible for killing his parents. We see something to that effect when he's talking to Yoda.
Maybe he asks ahsoka to train him since she knew Anakin so well, but she's no master either but she decides to help out.
We see that the Inquisitors who to me are maybe Padawan level force users at best getting overwhelmed and failing continually in their quest to kill the Jedi, they ask Vader for help.
The heros find a hidden Jedi Temple being run by the Temple Guards. The Guards sense Ezra's growing power, they also sense his anger and dark side potential, they council Kaanan and Ahsoka to stop training the boy. Ezra over hears this and rebels, his obsession with Vader grows and he starts to hunt down Vaders path and finds a Sith Temple maybe on Morriban. He also finds the old master, who is incredibly powerful and a warrior. He starts filling Ezra's head up with thoughts about fighting the empire and avenging his parents and saving his friends.
Kaanan and Ahsoka track him down they confront the old master who looks a lot like Darth Maul and kill him. As they're trying to draw Ezra back, Vader and the inquistors arrive.
Ahsoka confronts her old master, they duel and she begs Anakin to come back to the light side of the force, Vader kills her, Ezra hears this and makes the connection between Vader and Anakin his destiny begins to take shape.
The Temple Guards arrive and fight the Inquistors. But Ezra intervenes and strikes the Inquistors down, Vader is most impressed, he mentions that he knows that Ezra wants revenge for his parents and Ahsoka but Vader is his path to the power needed to save his friends. Vader offers to finish his training. Ezra chooses that path.
Towards the end of the series, Kaanan confronts Ezra and they fight, Ezra lands a fatal wound, but not before Kaanan injuries him badly.
Ezra in a fit of rage turns on his master (Vader) and attacks him. Ezra barely escapes and swears that he will become strong enough to destroy Vader and save his friends. He sets a course for wild space, and spends 45 years building up his power so that he can return.
We're left with Hera, Sabine Chopper and Zeb heart broken over their friends death and the fall of Ezra and the rising dark times and they decide to go their separate ways.
Really dark for a disney show, but it would make sense.

just a reminder to people watching the show, I believe that the new episode with Leia is on Wednesday on the DisneyXD channel which is 188 on Shaw at 7 or 7:30. Unfortunately they don't have the new episode descriptor on it so your PVR's won't pick it up.

It was confirmed that Ahsoka Vader is going to be its own arc.
I don't think that they'll kill her off yet. I believe it has to happen, but I think she's going to get her butt kicked. they did hint in the trailer that she knows who Vader is. I think she learned the truth in the dog fight over Lothal.

I thought last nights episode was fairly decent for what I would call a filler episode.
We got to see Princess Leia as a teenager.
Alderaan is basically allowing their ships to be stolen by the rebellion while continuing to look loyal to the Empire
Leia is her fathers assistant and not in the senate yet.
Zeb punches out Ezra and Kaanan to make Leia's kidnapping look legit
Chopper has really grown on me.
I like Filoni's comments where he said that R2D2 is like the family dog, he's loyal, eager to please and always has its owners back. Chopper is like the family cat, mercurial, lazy, doesn't give a crap, but will come through in a big way once in a while.

I was also wondering this, I started Clone Wars, I want to get into this as well.

The animation work on the scenery was really good and the music was good. I think between now and the end of the year we're going to get a lot of filler episodes like this as we're leading up to the Ezra story line and the Ahsoka story line.

Definitely a Serenity/Firefly vibe in this last episode - even the music was similar.
The guys on Collider compared to to a episode of Battle Star which i thought was very spot on... I'm enjoying the maturation of the series... the first season was a bit of a struggle for me. Season two is darker and more adult which i dig.

I was looking at the episode guide and there are some interesting premises coming up.
We get to see Hera's Dad who we met in TCW's
The episode after that could be really interesting
Quote:
Zeb and AgentKallus find themselves stranded on an ice planet after a failed Imperial ambush of the rebels. With Kallus injured from the escape pod crash, he and Zeb must work together to survive the harsh conditions.[4]
Its interesting that the last two episodes is a part one and part two titled twilight of the apprentice.
That could mean one of two things.
Ahsoka is the apprentice
Ezra is the apprentice.

Damnit I want to watch this but I don't want to just jump in.. and I can't find a legal means to stream it. The Disney site won't let me since I am in Canada.
Help me CalgaryPuck, you are my only hope.

I've seen really bad quality videos on youtube, that's about it, the Disney XD thing is kind of a joke in that they don't stream it to Canada.
I was originally going to buy the DVD sets, like I did with TCW's, but might wait until the end of season two. As it stands I have most of the episodes on my PVR.
I'm intrigued by Zeb and Kallus episode.
Its funny because Kallus has really been the main antagonist in this series. But he keeps failing over and over again.
He's also seen
Two Imperial Officers coldly executed by the Grand Inquisitor for their failures on the orders of Tarkin.
Tarkin treating him like he's particularly stupid at times
I think he's slowly gained a grudging respect for the Rebels, you saw that in the B-Wing episode when he reacted with complete shock when Hera one shotted a cruiser and broke his blockade.
We know that Zeb and Kallus have a past, where Kallus helped wipe out his people, but I think Zeb is more at peace now when he found out that his people still exist.
I don't ever see Kallus defecting to the rebels. But having him leave the Empire makes sense as they bring on new and more dangerous Imperials like Thrawn and push more of the two inquisitors and bring Vader back.
It would be kind of cool to see Kallus sitting in a bar somewhere in the universe far from the war but occasionally getting information to the rebels.
