Forsberg is really pulling away from the rest of the pack. 4th in league scoring now. Johnny in 2nd though which is great to see.

Nothing in Forsberg's history indicates he can score at this pace. Interested to see if he can keep this up. Amazing start though.

The only thing that matters is I picked up Forsberg on the first day of the season in my pool, and he's kept me from trolling at the bottom! I say keep it up, chap!

Hey, remember that time when people were saying "Drouin is like Gaudreau, but better"...
Gaudreau: 21GP 3G 12A +8 - 15PTS
Granlund: 11GP 3G 6A +4 - 9PTS
Jooris: 15GP 5G 4A +0 - 9PTS
Drouin: 16GP 1G 8A -1 - 9PTS
Come again?

Drouin could easily have a good night, and be right up there with Gaudreau as well though.
Point is, it's way to early to be saying Johnny is better then Drouin.

Great to see our guys playing well but your a bit premature with this. Trading Drouin for Granlund or Jooris would be a no brainer and Id probably deal Gaudreau for him too.

Not saying that. I'm saying Drouin sure as hell doesn't look like a better Johnny to this point. People were jumping to conclusions in Drouin's first damn game, and now can rightfully be made to look silly for doing so. JG has simply been the superior player to this point, and on a less talented team, while also being strong defensively, as his +/- indicates.
ALSO It'll take a hell of a lot more than "a good night" to get Drouin into Johnny's ballpark. It'll take a good stretch of good games. Also we don't know was kind of torrid pace Johnny could get on in these upcoming games. He's already on a streak currently.

I wouldn't.
I think Johnny is a more consistent player, and has no history of injury (literally, none), which bodes very well for him. Despite the 2" edge in size Drouin has, I'd still lean towards Gaudreau.
NCAA phenom > QMJHL phenom.

No question JG is awesome, but Drouin IS two years younger.
Honestly it would be tough, but I'd choose Drouin most likely.

Gaudreau has been great but it's ridiculous to start claiming who is better at this point. Drouin is 19 years old. In 3-4 years will probably have a good idea of where each player stands.

I thought they were one year apart in age.
Will be interesting to see who is the better producer. It'll be close, regardless.

Watch out for this Klingberg kid in Dallas. Dman with 6 points in his first 7.

- that Forsberg... still so hot right now
- Gaudreau continuing his 60pt pace
- Pearson hit a wall. Just 3pts in his last 15GP
- Severson hit that same wall. 3pts in his last 15GP as well.
- Drouin has slowed down... didn't expect that
- Ekblad pushing his way into Calder consideration
- Top 10 watch out! Klingberg is coming in hot

Edmonton, for the love of the church, send Draisaitl down!
It's bothersome the way they handle kids.

Not picking on you guys, as a lot of people had him highly ranked and thought he'd be in the Calder conversation, but Kuznetsov has had a rough start. On pace for 30 points, and only getting 11 mins/game. Is he at risk for getting sent down?

The Calder is a funny animal. The list has as many guys who never did much afterward as players who became elite. Samsonov, Berard, Myers (pretty early but not impressing), Jackman, Mason...
I don't care too much if Johnny misses out, if he just continues his progression. Remember, Crosby finished second, too.

Linden Vey looking like a good pick up too. Ekblad on pace for 40 points is pretty impressive too, especially the minutes he's logging
