I am never sure what to say in these first few days... this game is always so confusing, even though I have played it before haha. I have to agree I am a little cautious to just start throwing out random votes... Maybe we should wait and see if there is someone more inactive than Squiggs.

Also, did you guys know deku seeds are really high in protein? Great for anyone trying to get their swole on!

I think random is the way to go too and agree that a random number generator is easy to rig.

What about if we used a score or multiple scores from today's NFL games? Say everyone make a guess of what the total score of the New Orleans Saints vs the Dallas Cowboys will be and whoever's guess is the worst, gets voted out?

We could use all 4 of the afternoon/evening games if we want to make it easier/a wider spread, but guesses would have to be in by 4pm eastern time.

Pikachu is also one of the lightest characters in the game, making it easy for its foes to launch it. Despite this, top-level SSB players have placed Pikachu at the top of their list, theoretically making it the best character in the game.

My foes are already trying to launch me from the game. Don't launch the best character from the game.

If we make it completely random like that, doesn't that give the scum a big advantage? I think the only way to figure out who is scum is to try to find information from voting patterns, if everything is random there are no voting patterns and us townsfolk won't have a chance.

Potentially. A random choice and subsequent lynch without any obstruction is likely not too helpful in the long run. Best case would be randomly landing on a mafia member and seeing if any of the rest squirm, or sacrifice one of their own to protect the remaining. Worst case we lynch a random 'light' player with little discussion, but to day 2 where we have some night actions to go off of.

That said, I'm with Timbo and others on the inactive train. I'll give a few of these guys (Bizaro and Baxter, especially) the benefit of the doubt for now because it's the weekend, and likely cast my first vote sometime Monday.

I agree. If we make it random, scum doesn't have to make any voting decisions. Which person to kill is already determined for them and they just blend in with the group.

I prefer for people to start voting for whoever and give their reasons. It forces everyone to make a choice.

We are into the third day, so I think I am just going to vote. Bizarro and baxter are a bit too inactive, so I am randomly going to pick one.

This is a great point that I had not considered. Being truly random is most fair to whoever gets the lynch on the first day, but that really doesn't put us ahead for day 2 going forward. We need to start throwing out some votes against the inactive posters and see how they respond.

Based on the two posts of the characters with only one post each, bizaro said the least, so I'm going to vote against him. That'll give him two votes, which should hopefully provoke a response.

Vote: bizaro86

The logic is hard to argue with considering the complete lack of facts at the moment.

Bizaro has also played before so he should know better. I will join this train. Also, I get his name and Squiggs96 mixed up because of the numbers at the end. If one of them is lynched it will be easier to keep track of.

Vote: Bizaro86

Sorry I've been inactive... I've had a busy weekend. I'll catch up on the thread and cast my vote shortly.

I'm still a bit hesistant on squiggs96, like I said it was odd he would post while everyone else is listing their characters and avoid doing so himself. Now the talk of foes etc.

Anyways,

FALCON PUNCH!!!

There's no evidence to really go on the first few days so its a bit of a crap shoot... I don't think inactivity is very telling of affiliation, but like others have mentioned, inactivity won't help the light flush out the darkness, nor does it make for an interesting game. I was inactive due to my weekend, but will be much more active from here on out.

I'll vote Bizaro for now.

Vote: BIZARO86

Just re-reading here, devo22 has gone quiet quickly as well. His only posts were first day and nothing since. Another vet who you would think be posting more since they've done this before.

I'm sort of between him and bizaro86 for no reason other then I would think both would be posting more.

Looking back to the second game, Bizaro was very active early on. Granted, that game started mid-week, but he was also active in posting during the only weekend he lasted last time around. Obviously not much to go on, but losing even an inactive townie isn't too bad to get the game moving.

I'll likely be busy tomorrow so I'd like to get my vote in now:

Vote: Bizaro86

I believe that's 6 and still safely away from a lynch so we should be in no danger of a mafia-based pile-on.

been reading along today and yesterday, mainly on the phone though. Busy weekend I'll be more active during the week.

vote: bizaro86

day 1 is such a crapshoot, so might as well go with the inactivity idea.

It has been said once already but I would like to reiterate that we have no rush to lynch anyone so once it gets to ten votes we need to slow down and give the accused a chance to speak. Anyone who rushes the last few votes is scum in my mind and they will have my vote the next round.
This game is heavy on powers for players so anyone who is accused can probably shed some light from gallows. It doesn't get them a reprive from their death necessarily but if they flip light in the morning we can put some weight to what they said.
