This morning the CSA released the first of the three Coach’s Tool Kits intended to guide Youth Coaches across the country. I’ve only skimmed through it but it looks good so far. It is very straightforward and will be really useful for coaches that are new to the sport. Consequently, I think it could have a massive impact if it can make its way into the hands of our youth coaches. This should mark the beginning of this country’s rise in football.

Take a look: Coach's Tool Kit -- Stage 01

After De Gea's performance vs Everton, you'd figure Del Bosque will start him either tomorrow, or Sunday. Thinking Luxembourg would be a good start.

I took a quick look over that as well, and it does look really good. It will be very helpful for the grass roots age where a lot of coaches are hockey dads and don't have a clue how to run a soccer practice. What I would have liked to see on that Coaches Kit (unless I missed it) was age recommendations for each drill though. I've played soccer my whole life and I still struggle trying to find consistent drills for my 6 year olds' team. I've had some serious failures with certain drills that were too advanced for them haha.

This kit is for Stage 1 so U4 & U6. The Stage 2 kit will cover Girls U-6/U-8 and Boys U-6/U-10, while Stage 3 will handle Girls U-8/U-11 and Boys U-9/U-12.

How did I miss this absolute gem?
Poland was a powerhouse and contender?
And they are again because they beat a country with a population of 30k and playing their first compettitve game 7-0?

Robbie Keane hat-trick!

Roy shaved his beard for good luck. Against Gibraltar.

I think everyone is glad to see Hummels back. Well, anyone that isnt Polish.

Debuts for Rudiger and Bellarabi and another cap for Durm and Kramer.

I like Durm.

Poland let off the hook by Bellarabi. Missed by inches.

There needs to be a pre-qualifying tournament.

Gibraltar. Seriously? I heard they have to play their home games in Portugal.
