So you weren't a fan and you were bashing Treliving and the picks even though hadn't seen the guy play at all? I don't get it, why dislike the picks? or not be a fan of it if you don't know anything about the player? Why not just trust the scouts that have been filling the cupboards for the last few years?

Then you and posters like you wonder why people turn on you guys for these moronic posts.

Something that we as fans forget when it comes to the draft is that the scouts and the management team get a far more personal look at the prospects than we do, and that plays into the selection as much as skill, I.Q. or other measurable parameters.

Based on what the flames have said in any number of ways is how much the personality of the player comes into play in the selection process; Ho-Sang was a perfect example, top 5 skill bottom 20 attitude.

Hunter Smith is an example of this, when the first thing out of the kids mouth is look I have to improve this and I need work on that to get to the next level, to me that says huge things about the personality, and is probably the reason he was taken over a glover lets say. had my own favourites but the scouts have earned enough of my trust at this point to wait and see.

Yes. Heaven forbid anyone change their opinion.

I've never claimed my opinion was unchanging or infallible. If we all kept our opinions on everything to ourselves it would be a pretty lame forum for conversation.

If you don't like hearing my opinion feel free to ignore my posts. It woudn't hurt my feelings any.

I think you missed the point if Chiefs post. I believe he was questioning why so much venom in your posts when you had no even seen the players play yet. Seems like a lot of Treliving hate with nothing yet to base the hate on. I don't think Chief cares how often you change your opinion.

Ahhh, you are correct, I was basing my original opinions on what I had read online, heard from others and saw from their stats.

My opinion changes as I get more information.

Edit: Theres no doubt, I was over reacting a little. I got called out on it. Moved on.

Like Stanathan said I don't care how often your opinion changes. Thats a part of being a fan.

My feeling but I get annoyed when I see these young prospect getting bashed. It's different when a player is established and we've seen him play. Heck there are a few one the Flames roster I'd like us to get rid of right now.

For prospects I hope we can trust the scouts and trust them until we see otherwise. I think the biggest example of that has been Jankowski (there's a pretty much Janko hate club who hate the selection because we didn't select Matta or TT instead) and for that reason they've pretty much declared him as a bust.

Let's give these guys a chance, not all are going to make it that we know, thats just a numbers game.
