I don't see him going anywhere if Boston wants him back.
He said after the game this was "one of the best" teams he has played on and I think he wants to be part of something that ends in a Cup with the same team, even if it takes a few years.
I don't think he is one of these guys who favours jumping around from team to team on one year contracts just to get the best shot at winning it all.

I'm not surprised that this is the attitude they take. Boston in general, as a city, has some of the biggest a-holes around. If Boston was a person, he'd be that short guy who acts overly aggressive in order to compensate for his own deficiencies.

He looks good in a Boston uni. Can't see him going anywhere else.

He looks a lot better in a Flames jersey.
In all seriousness, I think he will stay in Boston. It would look ridiculous if he signed somewhere else like LA.

Poor Iggy.
He may be destined to never win a cup.

Same with most players though.

I think he should, regardless of the optics.
Iggy has paid his dues and now he is a mercenary going for a cup. No different than Hossa. Once he gets his cup maybe he'll settle down in Boston.

If he doesn't re-sign with Boston, Chicago or LA would make the most sense. He may not get top line minutes there, but they would give him the best chance to win.

I'm not sure I see the comparison. Hossa was younger when he left a crappy non-playoff team to jump to the Wings, then Penguins than stuck with Chicago the last 5 years.
If Iggy stays in Boston for a few seasons then we could make that leap, but not now.

Johnny Hockey article from worlds.

“I’ve been working all my college career on getting shots through a screen using the defenceman,” Gaudreau said of his effort. “I’ve been getting better and better at it over time.”
Gaudreau said that New York Rangers forward and at the time Boston College teammate Chris Kreider tried to teach him how to create offence using shots like that in his first few weeks as a college freshman in 2011.
“I had no idea what I was doing,” laughed Gaudreau. “Throughout that season Kreider helped me out and I just tried to get better and better. It’s a big part of my game now.”

Boston HF board saying Iginla has a high ankle sprain. Probably from his last fight. I remember he did go down awkwardly against the boards and then looked off trying to stand up.

The age doesnt matter, he was taking one-year contracts with whatever team he thought had the best chance to win and then once he won he took a long-term contract.

Boston does not have the cap room to sign Iginla and sign Krug and Smith.

Nope, not without trading some of their bigger contracts.
None of their players are grossly overpaid either, so they will lose quality if they do try to make room.

How about Boston keep Iginla and we try to sign Krug? Young D-Man who can score and has no issues moving the puck...sounds good to me hahaha

Flames need to get bigger on the back end. I like Krug but Russel would have to be shipped off. I don't see that happening.
Trading for Bartowski might be a better option.
