I remember when you didn't have to dial the 403 area code to make a local call. Those were the golden years. 7 digit phone numbers.

Pfft, you young kids. The real golden age was when you could just dial the last 4 digits, if you were in the same exchange. Was that way in the small town I grew up in well into the late 80's.
