You might not be a Darryl fan, but there are three things that are pretty undeniable: he got the 04 Flames to play WAY above their heads - he got their egos out of the way and drove that team. He got the Kings going the same way the year they won the Cup...just played for each other, not lip service, but by each individual finding internal commitment to the team.
And the same thing was reflected last night in that game (and the three preceding ones). Watching the game, which I really don't care about as neither is "my" team, I saw the Kings do what they do best: they take a straight line - the absolutely shortest distance - to the puck every time they can. If that means running someone over, so be it. They were absolutely unbelievable in how fast they got on the puck carrier.
That's coaching.
