I don't think it will be an issue? It's mostly just issues with tracking and their website being a POS. I've never heard of a case of unsuccessful delivery yet.

Nope, they didn't even attempt to do anything yesterday
Wednesday, August 20, 2014 Location Time 14 With delivery courier SOUTHERN ALBERTA, AB - CANADA 13:30
Monday, August 18, 2014 Location Time 13 Delivery attempted; recipient not home SOUTHERN ALBERTA, AB - CANADA 19:13
12 With delivery courier SOUTHERN ALBERTA, AB - CANADA 11:22
I said screw it and on their website chose the option to tell them to hold it at their facility for me to come pick up. But of course I haven't gotten any kind of confirmation back from them regarding if that will actually happen

Good... it seems like at most invitees have got their phones by now. Hope you guys are enjoying them and look forward to your opinions and comments.
I'm looking at a set of cell phone earbuds for them now since the phone never came with a pair and my last ones broke cuz I tore a wire. Don't want to spend that much on any earbuds since I have some nice over ear wireless Sennheisers already. Apparently the Xiaomi Piston 2s are a great cheap cell phone earbud w/mic combo... better sound quality than the monoprice ones. Thoughts on alternative good mic/earbud combos? Don't want to spend anything over $50.

every time this thread gets bumped I come over all exciting hoping that the list has moved.
(I bet I'm not the only one).
It will be a race to see if my name comes up before the Nexus 6 is announced/released.

Pretty awesome, it's almost my vision of a perfect phone. The only thing I would change is removing the physical buttons in favor of on-screen ones, but at least their placement is what I prefer. Having Cyanogen come with it standard is awesome, I'm not even sure if I'll bother rooting it now

Pretty great feeling device and very premium feeling... including the packaging. I actually would have used the physical buttons if they were in the same orientation as the Nexus devices for the extra screen real estate... but they swapped the cancel and the task manager button and it confused the crap out of my muscle memory for cancel when I first got the phone. Turned them off pretty soon after that.

By not having physical buttons at all they could have either made the bezel smaller or made the screen bigger. I really don't know why manufacturers still insist on putting physical buttons on phones anymore, there's no point
And actually I lied, I also miss the volume/power button placement on my LG G2. In fact that phone was the best physically designed phone I've ever used. If they release a Google Play edition of the G3 I may have to sell the OnePlus

That is the updated list (I edit as I go along)... I've been giving my invites away as soon as I get them. So far given away 5 total for CPers, probably more to come. Just reply to the post and move names around as appropriate.

Thanks again Flameon for this tip. I was able to use the waybill number and pay DHL online to save the $5. Otherwise by fees are what Flameon had minus the $5 fee.
UPDATE: Ok so it's super fast. When the tracker said Southern Alberta it meant Southern Alberta, Calgary. The phone was processed this mornig, then out for delivery by 12:45 and was just delivered about 15 min ago. So at this point I have nothing but good things to say about DHL based on this experience. Amazing. I hope it ends up being good for everyone else as well. Now I can't wait until the end of the day to get home and open it up

OK, I recieved mine this afternoon, and here are my initial thoughts...
Ordered on Monday, delivered Thursday (wasn't home), actually received Friday. Shipping cost was $31.30 for shipping/brokerage and it was prepaid, so I saved $5. Phone cost was $376.99. Total then, is $408.29 here in Alberta.
Phone was very durably shipped in two boxes, one for the phone and a smaller one for the charger. The boxes themselves have a quality 'iPhone' box heavy feel to them. The sim card tool is nice too. No documentation that I can see...
The phone is big. Its screen is almost 2" larger than my S4. It had 57% charge when I turned it on LOL. Scrolling through the menus and various setup screens is fast and responsive, with no lag at all. The text and icons have an elegant look to them, it really shows that this is a high end phone. The rear of the case has a nice grainy textured feel. Almost sad that I'm going to put a case over it. Feels heavy in your hand. Solid.
I haven't transferred all my stuff over yet (will this weekend) but will give a more comprehensive review when I do.
Planning on getting this case:
http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-Matt...tronic+oneplus
and a Zagg screen protector as long as they carry it...
Once again, BIG thank you to FlameOn who started this crazy ride...

The back buttons on the G2 always felt kind of weird to me even after using it for a couple of weeks. Maybe I just never got used to the feel of that placement. In any case, I didn't hear of any renewals to the GPE program. Silver still hasn't been announced at all

No problem man. Looks like you are enjoying your phone. I had the same issue thinking about the case I was going to put on it... though in the end I decided to just buy a bumper to protect things from a huge drop. Unfortunately Zagg does not make screen protectors for the Oneplus (much smaller addressable market than Samsung) and the only one I would consider now is a glass one anyways. You'll know what I mean when you actually get to feel a glass one.

Paypal unfortunately screws you on the exchange rate by charging an additional 1-2% on top of what your credit card already charges. So... yea... That sucks.
Hm... I wonder what happened to Cky and dfsFlamesfan.
EDIT: In case anyone was wondering still waiting for my friend to get her invites but I expect three more to give away here when those show up. I'm hoping it's soon in any case and will hand those out whenever I get them (expect that to be my last batch... gave away my invites as well as another friends already here)... One of the other people who ordered may get things rolling before myself though.

A tempered glass screen protector rather than a plastic film screen protector. It literally is another thing piece of glass that is attached to your LCD. They feel much nicer and also protect your LCD glass from cracking much like how ablative armor works. The protector shatters instead of your LCD glass.
