I knew the Islanders would tank tonight whilst Buafflo would put in a spirited showing. The Islanders want that 4th spot. Always going to happen. Just have to cross our fingers for Tuesday and if we don't win the lottery just hope for a bit of luck for the draft if we have the 5th.

Yes thats true - but I think the Bennett, Reinhart and Ekblad - the 3 I would really really like us to get one of will be gone by then (4th) anyways.

But you never know, Seth Jones fell to NSH and Drouin was taken after Barkov - 2 things I didnt see happening before last years draft.

I would love Draisatl / Dal Colle / Ritchie. All three are big. Ritchie plays the roughest game, followed by Dal Colle, and Draisatl has been compared to Joe Thornton.

But I think the top 3 are just a cut above in terms of their ceiling

Isles have looked better this game IMO. They aren't and haven't been tanking.

I made a joke in the "who should johnny play with" thread about how Burke thinks he should play with ritchie - and someone accused me of trolling.

I've seen Ritchie play a lot...and I would be happy with him at 5th. 6'3, 231, may have the best shot in the draft, skates really well for a big guy and he is a great fighter who isnt afraid to drop the gloves. He even out did Sam Bennett in a game vs Kingston where Ritchie scored 5 goals and added 1 assist in a 7-6 OT loss.

Maybe people just dont like him because he's older - or hes a big 6'3 230 guy in junior so it seems like hes only dominating because of his size.

I think hes a great prospect and we really have nothing like him at all (ok maybe Ferland)
