Heavvy Jack - This is why I love the make up of our team.
I sat with a habs fan and a kings fan tonight and both had nothing but impressive words on the flames progress.
I hate the thought of a different team next year just as much as I love the thought of our new "studs" coming in.
I would gladly renew seasons year after year watching this team play as they do but not make playoffs. Thats how much I appreciate the work ethic. When playoffs arrive - this city will shut down!!!
Go Flames!

I love the harmony on this team, not only between players, but between coaches-players as well.
I lol'ed at Hartley's joke at the end of his PC. "At the end, I just wanna say that Paul Byron and his wife had a baby boy today. At 9lbs, 6oz he'll be able wear Paulie's clothes right away."

phew, had to double check, we would end up tied in points and ROW if we won the last 2 in regulation and they lost all 3, but luckily they beat us to win the series between us.
I wouldn't count on winnipeg winning a game, considering they play boston and then us, so that could be bad if we win that game and the one against the canucks.

Does anyone think hartley could influence burke or future gm's in any way? My habs buddy loved the hartley signing from day one. Said he's more about speed than anything, and there's some truth to that I think. Could be a potential conflict, but find the right balance of a bit of size and speed and man..

With 5 shootout goals, Sean Monahan is halfway to the 10 that Jarome Iginla has amassed in the 10 seasons since the shootout was introduced.

I thought Cundari acquitted himself quite well. I realize he isn't the tallest player, but man, he doesn't back down and seems like he is solid on his skates. Not sure there is a future for him here, but I wouldn't mind giving him another shot.

Byron and Cundari are good assets to have. But I think they'll be assets to move to upgrade size. I like them both. But there's not enough room for all of the smaller players and I think Granlund, Gaudreau and Hudler will be the one who keep a spot on the team. Am I missing one?

Monahan has 4 game winning shootout goals - tied for 2nd in the league and 1st among rookies.
That kid has ice in his veins.

Cundari doesn't "play" small though. He plays pretty mean. I think the Flames should give him more games.

"Good Guy Monahan" - a derivative of "Good Guy Greg"

Possibly Russell? If Byron goes up another gear again, even him... but it's too early to tell, I trust the team to do what's best and am happy with Hartley behind the bench to put the right guys in.

Neither does Byron... Both Cundari and Byron are physically small, but their game isn't. Conroy has mentioned before that size doesn't really mean over 6 feet and heavy, as long as they play big. Plus, Byron is pretty much the teachers pet with Hartley, Conroy and Burke, they love him and his game.

On that Oilers survey I said they need to draft Fleury because they need defencemen and he's better than Ekblad. Hopefully they fall for it.

I remember a time when the Flames would go out to a 3-0 lead, waste it and lose 4-3 in overtime........

Boring Sean Monahan @boringmonahan10h
I scored twice and everyone was really happy. I asked Jiri Hudler if he was happy that he took a slap shot in a shootout and he said he was.

Oh yeah, that gif! That's the clip of that guy getting into a conformation with that raccoon - from what I remember, that raccoon completely deserved it.

I thought it was a cat. Not that it makes a whole pile of difference. But it does a little.
