This sparked a memory. Trying to find the article from back when...but I recall the Oilers/Lowe/MacTavish getting furious at Comrie for achieving a meaningless bonus in a late season game in 2002 (then floating the rest of the game, according to them), and that was in turn part of the bonus they asked him to pay back as part of the "exit fee" to get traded to ANA (which fell through, for Corey Perry).
