The Jets win the shootout. The single point puts the Coyotes in a tie with the Stars but lose the tie breakers. The Stars have a game in hand and three more regulation-overtime wins.

Ha, Perron. Has a pretty good shift, then takes an obvious penalty right in front of the ref.

"This is what good teams do." - Debrusk, not talking about the Oilers.

Not a penalty? Burrows didn't even care where the puck was......he saw a vulnerable player already engaged with another Canuck and decided to take a run at him and hit him high. Look where Burrows' arms and elbow are.......up high, in his face. That's a cheap hit.

35 goals against in the last 7.5 games for Scrivens, and that includes games against the Flames, Sabres, and Hurricanes. Absolutely Brutal. I am not saying it's entirely his fault, but that he's no better than anyone else they've had in net this season (and quickly dispensed).

As an aside, the Sharks defense and Niemi have been playing rather inconsistently as of late from the games I have watched of theirs. They seem to be chasing the puck a lot and Niemi has been fairly inconsistent for most of this season, that is for sure. If HFBoards is any indication (probably not a great way to judge the opinion of a fan base) a lot of Sharks fans are unhappy with his play, but I think he still is a quality goaltender who has proven he can do what it takes to win in the past. He'll step it up in the playoffs.

I don't like the hit and I think its out of frustration and unnecessary, but it's not a penalty

his elbow doesn't make contact with McDonagh's head and it's not from behind

He has already fallen from the highs of his time in LA to below what caused Toronto to give up on him. And still falling.

Also Burrows has never been suspended by Shanahan, he doesn't have a disciplinary history under him

Burrows is damn lucky McDonough turned at the last second, because I watched that game live and Burrows started gunning for him while he still had his back to him.

Put if you think running a player, hitting him high and leading with your arms and elbow up in the player's face isn't a penalty, then I guess we'll agree to disagree.

Could be wrong, but I'm guessing if Kevin Westgarth made that exact hit on one of the twins and you saw them limp off the ice you might be singing a different tune.

Oilers blow a third period lead and lose 5-4 in regulation...Sportsnet gives all three stars to the Oilers.

Of course.
