Well thats a great start... Hutch doesn't have command today and they are down early 3-0. Two walks and a hit batter has generated 3 runs on only one hit which is just pitiful!

Great response for Melky! If he continues to hit these homeruns he might be finding himself down in the lineup.

Lots of these pitches being called strikes seem low to me. I guess this ump has a wider range.

I love watching Encarnacian have to run multiple bases. He is a big guy, but when he gets going he gets going.

The camera must really distort the view because those last two strike 3's looked well below the knees.

Too bad bautista got picked off or else it would been 4-1 not 3-1

The Jays have been fortunate that the score is not reversed.

Very strange strike zone tonight. It's all over the place.

I don't understand this new blocking rule at home plate; I don't get what the catcher is supposed to do/where he's supposed to go in situations where a throw to home naturally takes him to be in the path of the runner.

I hate this rule. If the catcher wants to block the plate, let him. He won't be caught looking up the fiend without the ball again once a runner runs him over.

Houston is a pretty embarrassing franchise for icing this type of lineup. AL doormat.

Hey, they've had about 5 fewer 13 strikeout games as a team to start the season than they did at this point last year. They're making progress!

Nice to see Lawrie get that late HR last night.

The young bats need to get going.

Fairly slow starts from Edwin, Colby, and Lawrie this season.

EE and Colby will figure it out, I am fairly confident about that, but Lawrie is the one that I still have doubts about.
