Prior to last night, when was the last time a Flames' goalie stole a win?

Berra in Chicago?

This team has what appears to be some decent pieces. Ramo is starting to look like what Feaster and Weisbrod said he was. Brodie is developing nicely, Giordano is great, Wotherspoon is another nice Feaster pickup, Russel is a nice Feaster pickup, Colbourne is a nice Feaster pickup, Feaster appears to have done alright in the 6 hole with Monahan, Byron looks like a decent player, Butler is even turning out to be a good dman, and Feaster looks like he replenished the cupboard decently with Agostini, Hanowski, Gaudreau, Poirier, Klimchuck, Knight, and others. I hope they can keep building on that solid foundation.

Kipper all those years? Not taking a shot at you but lets not forget arguably the greatest Flame of all-time.

Could be mistaken, but I think he means specifically this year.

Ramo looks to be a great piece to add to the rebuild. If he continues to play this well and improve, he'll be a huge piece in getting back to the playoffs as soon as possible.

There has been significant progression in almost every aspect of the Flames organization this year, but not the least of which has been goaltending.

I think it's fair to say that the overall view at the start of the year was: let's see what we've got, and in reality we are simply passing the time until Gillies gets here.

Now we've got Ramo giving us solid and consistent goaltending, and Ortio knocking on the door.

Suddenly, Gillies is 3rd in line. And that is a very good thing.

The organization still needs to acquire another tender in the off-season, but the status of the position has improved dramatically from the beginning of the season.

PLUS the two trades that brought back nice returns.
