He's not changing his tune. What he said today is almost word-for-word what he said about the situation at the STH Q&A session I went to last summer.

I know, it just always seems there is one of these Iginla trade threads on the go. Does it really matter anymore? I guess it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I wish Flames fans would just move on.

Yzerman managed to negotiate a 'better than expected' deal, while Feaster got a 'less than expected' deal. That is the point. Not (again) saying Feaster should have received what Yzerman did.

As for the 'sit and think about it for a while' comment.. Please... sit and think for a while how unfunny your 'snarkiness' is.
I think the problem is less with Feaster and more with your expectations.

Did he say "you may have a deal with Boston but you don't have a deal with us" at the STH Q&A?

What if Feaster were sitting on his hands until this time last year and we were talking about a third and a fifth for iggy? He pulled the trigger at a good enough time and made a good enough deal all things considering.

I guess "good enough" is how high the bar was set for Feaster. When dealing the key pieces of your team "good enough" usually doesn't cut it. I don't think Iginla had a ton of value but Feaster definitely didn't get the value he did have. Common theme with majority of his trades though.
