Probably ironing out the confidentiality clause when Nolan resigns next month

Probably going over what his "stay quiet" clause is in case he gets fired or "resigns"

EDIT: SureLoss reads thoughts as well!

Anyone getting the feeling that more and more owners are getting involved in hockey personnel decisions? Word must have spread that owners can trade players.

Owners have historically always involved themselves in their teams' business. The last generation of hands-off owners was more of an exception than anything else.

Yeah, in the old days if a player got in the bad books of an owner, he would find himself in the minors and pretty much black balled. It's lucky for Lanny MacDonald that there was the Colorado Rockies.

Care to expand on this? As far as I knew, McDonald had no issues with team management or owners until after he was traded and made some remarks while in Colorado. Maybe I am thinking of a different incident?

The main dispute was with Sittler and since they were good friends, he was part of the house clearing. That's just it, you didn't have to do anything particularly wrong, you were at the whim of the owner and management, more so in the original six days.
