Too many freezes. Canada should have hit the red top 12 early (after china threw through the house)

5-3 China

Not sure actually. Maybe temperature issues throughout the day.

Another incredible end. How many amazing shots does China make within an inch of whatever rock they need to get by? Then Jacobs makes an amazing shot and then China follows suit.

I've never watched curling before but this China vs. Canada match is entertaining. I must be getting old...I never understood how someone could watch this before, but it actually isn't that bad!

So much fun to play too. It's harder than it looks, but once you get a hand of getting out of the hacks, it's fantastic!

That seemed like another good shot from China at the end there, yes or no?

Yeah, this is a good game - really high quality.

China takes it in the end I think. Liu's been deadly so far.

It was a great shot, especially since he had a bit of a wobble and had to push it to get the desired weight.

And Canada blows the draw to give up a steal of one.

Yup. China shooting so well that Jacobs is rattled. So much pressure to make the perfect shot since the other team is hot.

Also there was a strategic error in the 5th to give up 3.

Anyone watching bobsled? Jamaica going to be on here soon enough, but the lady announcing the event is amazing, seems like a walking encyclopedia for bobsled. Or maybe since I know nothing she seems really good.

Yeah, and only two mentions of Bobsleigh being a "gravity sport". ugh.

If China beats Canada, we will face them in the semi-finals no matter the outcome of the China/GBR game.

(On the assumption Sweden will beat the USA)

Have you people who play curling of listened to the song Tournament of Hearts by the Weakerthans? Kind of off-topic I know, but just wondering..

Just an aside, not sure why CBC (and the partner networks) no longer put the "Live" screen bug on events that are actually live.

They used to, but haven't this year.

Obviously you know when you watch something at 7pm its been replayed, but sometimes when you're watching at 7am, you're not sure if its live or from a few hours earlier.

Must be because, like the SuperG earlier, TSN shows it live and in its entirety at 11pm...CBC shows it in its entirety but at 1am,. and CBC doesn't want to advertised that the partner network had the event live....regardless, it's annoying not to know if its live or tape delay from an hour ago.

Shot clock isn't working in Canada's favour at the moment.

Wow, huge steal.
