Ouch. Rough run by the Americans.

Russia's run is holding up well. 3 teams left.
Germany up next... then Canada.

Canada is probably fighting it out for the Bronze on their run coming up.

Well - that wasn't so great. Not their best runs. Good runs - but not their best.

Still, major improvement in Luge for Canada at this Olympics.

So many opportunities and unfortunately Canada comes away without a medal today.

Definitely agreed here.
Hopefully by the next Olympics they can be in strong medal contention in all four luge events.

Canada only 0.1 seconds off the podium.

Yeah, today was definitely a hugely disappointing day. We only really have one shot in the medals tomorrow too in a quieter day (Men's Figure Skating, depending on Chan today).

I'm amazed we don't have anyone in the women's aerials.

I'm amazed we don't have any competitors, but historically we've only really had one good Olympics in it. We've never been that great at aerials, although we have coached some of the best Aerialists in the world (the Chinese team).

5-0 for the Jones rink. One more win will clinch a playoff berth, and most of their remaining competition is easy.

Jones is definitely taking care of business. She and her rink are reading the ice very well and have great communication. Fantastic stuff!

Pretty good skate by some Japanese kid. Broke some record apparently. Chan should be coming up soon.

Hanyu is so good. I had him penned as the gold medal favourite with how he has been skating as of late.
Also, it really drives me nuts how this event takes almost 5 hours.
