They need wins occasionally so they don't go mad.

Can't lose em all. May as well enjoy the few we do get. (Unless we fall out of a top 5 draft position, then we riot.)

Calgary Flames ‏@NHLFlames 37m

"Probably." - Hartley when asked if @RamoKarri would be in net tomorrow.

I'm actually surprised that neither CuJo nor Toskala recorded a shutout. Good work Ramo!

“@Kristin_Hallett: Surprise! Backlund said he didn't know he'd be wearing an 'A' until he found it stitched in his jersey. Hartley followed up afterwards.”

Definitely not these types of wins.

Wins that involve guys like Ramo, Backlund, and Monahan taking steps forward are anything but counterproductive. If this season results in us developing a #1 goalie and two top six centres, that's worth more than any draft pick...well maybe not McDavid, but he's not eligible this year.

All three are showing glimmers of greatness lately. I'm especially impressed with Backlund, who many had written off.

Ramo just needs to stop letting in the random rookie goals.

Ramo looks great too, but

Brutal statement. We are not the Oilers. Why even watch and cheer for your team if all you want half way through the season is for your team to loose ? For a higher draft pick ? really ? Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a high draft pick too but to say winning is counter-productive is counter-productive in itself. Not the kind of environment you would want to bring up your new draftees up in. I'd rather be a Lion for a day than a sheep all my life.

Joe Colborne is starting to use his size a little bit more is leaps and bounds ahead of where he was when he got here. He was a liability at first but I think he's gonna earn himself a legit, every game place in the NHL going forward.

Why win a single game then? Go 0-82 for the season.

Honesty, every win helps our youth much more than a loss. Those are players that we posses now, and need to do everything possible to make them develop most efficiently. Losing doesn't do that.
