i think had any of the backups been given the amount of game time these guys have got, they may have found their game, and/or had the team in front eventually play for them. Mcbackup seems to be doing fine, yet looked about as bad as berra/ramo have at their worst this year.

Get one back Mony. Beat MacKinnon at his own game.

Haha, I love your defense of diving over the years. It's hilarious, and you must be literally the only one in the hockey watching world who isn't a Canucks fan who actually likes diving.

Just for reference sake, here's his thread from a couple of years ago titled "Why diving isn't bad"

It's like a weird little obsession, and it cracks me up every time he randomly brings it up.

Should be 4-1 for the Avs. Ramo has been lucky and looks bad.

This team has no life right now.

Looks like these guys are on edge with what is going to happen in the next few weeks.

My favorite quote from his OP is his second "reason why diving is good"

Quote:
In sports, winning is all that matters. History remembers the winners and the champions, and not so much how they got there. If diving will help you win, why wouldn't you? It certainly helped Vancouver get a bunch of powerplays and get to the Finals. In soccer, where goals are extremely difficult to come by, drawing a Penalty Kick is HUGE. That's just plain smart to me.

Shannon is clueless. Goaltending won't be a problem with Babcock coaching.

They are both good players but I would have traded monahan klimchuk and porier for MacKinnon and still would.

I guess I can understand people thinking the Avs tanked last year, and perhaps they did, none of us will ever know. As a fan, I don't think (or hope) they did. In their defense, the 2012/2013 Avs had some problems...a coach that had lost the teams ear, injuries to key players, locker room problems as evidenced by Giggy's calling out the team in the media, a shortened season, and probably other stuff that I am forgetting.

No doubt, they had way too much talent to finish like they did...that's one of the reasons that they cleared house of slackers and malcontents and brought in new staff and players.

I've watched every Avs game for I don't know how long (wish I could have some of those hours back) and I don't believe that they tanked last year...they just sucked enough in a short year and got lucky to get the #1 pick. Last year, they had some great games (like ending Chicago's 20 something win streak in a blow out) and plenty of crappy games.

I'm a fan of the team though, so my opinion is probably biased.

/end ramble
