Dec 22 - WJC Pre-Tournament: USA vs FIN (5:30AM MT) & CAN vs SWE (9AM MT) on TSN

I know Sutter said he didn't want to play 5 defensemen but if it is 1 game against the Germans then that will be no big deal at all. Especially with next game against the Czech's. Plenty of time to get guys enough rest/rotation in time for the US game. Even 2 games I say you just play with 5 guys. Rotate a forward back there if need be and use on of the forwards on the PP to limit minutes.

The tough part would be 3 or more games. More than 3 and goodbye Dumba. 3 games means that your top 2 defensemen would have sat out for 3 games prior to the US game and that would be their first game back.

With the IIHF you never know what stupid decision they will come up with next so could be anywhere from 0 to 100 games. I would say 3 or more and Dumba is off the team and Severson is flying back to Europe.

A 16 year old, two 17 year olds, their top forward coming off a concussion, and likely two D-men starting the tournament on the suspended list. Does not bode well for the Maple Leaf

I really hope Dumba gets a longer suspension. He makes me cringe often. He seems to have zero hockey sense, but plays with supreme confidence holding onto the puck for way too long. Besides, that was a dirty hit - I really hate to see stuff like that.

Dumba has Derek morris written all over him. Not as if that's a bad thing since Morris has made quite the career for himself but I would have went with someone else at number 7.

Logic fail.

It was a hockey play gone wrong.

It wasn't a head shot and wasn't a CFB from behind into the wall.

How was I being melodramatic and sensationalistic? Looked like a dirty play, and I stand behind those comments. It isn't like I said he should be banned from the tournament. Just hoping for a longer suspension in the hopes that it forces Sutter to cut him, as I think he is literally the worst defender on team Canada.

And no, I am not a Rebels fan, so that must mean I am sensationalistic and melodramatic
