Healy just said that the Flames should have brought the Dads to a game against an easier opponent. He seems to think that they're watching their kids get "embarrassed" by the Kings. The shots are 7-5 after one period in a scoreless game. Healy is an absolute idiot.

Out of the entire CBC crew, I would take Hrudey, Ron Maclean and Cherry (only because they'll probably be a package deal), and Friedman.
The rest of them can all blog from home in their underwear.
Edit: I forgot Andi Petrillo.

Easy answer. Hotdogging can hurt your own team by giving the other guys a reason to want to come back. A fight will probably not do that.

Thought it was a pretty good period for the Flames. Second game of a back to back and against a top team. Kings got a few chances but the defence did a job of keeping the Kings forwards from getting the rebounds.

I wouldn't cross the street to P*$% on Healy if he was on fire.

He's got a year left on his contract and likely won't be re-signed. I'd be more worried about Butler, O'Brien, Backlund (hate to say it) and Hartley. He won me over last year when he told Sven something to the effect that he could go play his game out there because he'd make sure no one messed with him. I know it's sexy right now to hate on the goon in hockey but McGrattan is not only a hell of team player, he's also a hell of a human being who has overcome some big demons in his life and IMO is a great role model for his younger teammates.
And for the record, I hope he is re-signed even if it's only for a year, you can't teach character.

I think Healy is a ######, but i agreed with some of the things he said about the flames. They should have picked a better raod trip. There was a good chance that there would be a benching or a pulled goalie on this trip. I agree with his Feaster statements of 2 best out side of the NHL, or Cervenka best center outside of NHL. I also agree that Berra has let in at least one soft goal in every one of his starts.

He said "games". There is no denying the Flames got embarrassed by Anaheim.

Of course Doughty is going to jump up against a team like the Flames. Is he really worried about a guy like Colborne out rush them in transition?

Fair enough, but for him to say that the dads are watching their kids get embarrassed is just plain stupid. He's an idiot.

I'm fine with McGratton on the team... he just didn't need to dress every game.
