I'd like to see Hartley hand the keys to Sven, Monahan and Backlund for a couple games, give all three top line minutes and powerplay time. Use Hudler with Sven and Monahan and Cammaleri with Backlund. Really test them out and tell them to go for it. The season is done, we're not making the playoffs, Hartley really needs to start testing these guys out more, experiment.

I attended this game (first live game in over two years). Can't believe I wasted $35 on a BP's ticket package (thankfully I got a beer and pizza included in the price which kinda makes up for it). I can say I will not pay to attend another game this year. I don't get how people continue to dish out large sums of money on this organization, yet the Stampeders put out a hell of a product and have trouble filling the joint. The Saddledome was quite empty in lots of areas. Glad that some people are refusing to attend.

Canadian Football only manages to keep my attention in the playoffs.. which lasts 2-3 games..
It is cool to see what they're doing this year though. Gotta be proud of the local team.

Hockey in Calgary is garbage as well.
I'm a much bigger hockey fan but honestly, I'd rather pay money to watch the Stamps if I was in Calgary ATM.

Even if the Flames lose, I still like watching the game of hockey. I was at the Sharks game and I was content seeing players like Thornton playing live. I can't stand watching football, or almost any other team sport to be honest..

Well the Flames play hockey and the Stampeders play football. That's enough reason for me to spend my money on the Flames.
Oh and the Flames are rebuilding. How dare they have the audacity to lose a few games? Jesus Christ people, when is this rebuild going to be over, we've had enough.

I am fine with a rebuilding team but I would like an effort. The team having a bottom of the barrel payroll yet still raising ticket prices (one of the highest in the league) has really pissed me off. Almost feel like a sucker buying a ticket which is sad for a team I love

Ticket prices have nothing at all to do with player salary. If you can't wrap your head around that, brush up on your economics 101 (specifically the concept of supply and demand).

That was the worst game i've seen the Flames play in quite some time. No energy, no zip no nothing. The sad part is we know the Flames as a team can play better than that.
They gave the Stars team way to much respect. Everytime the Stars had the puck the Flames would collapse in their own end allowing the likes of Benn and Seguin to cycle and pass the puck at free will. Then there was the mental errors where we were constantly turning over the puck and giving the Stars a lot of odd man breaks.
We didn't forecheck like we can and never put any pressure on the Stars defence.
Baertschi plays like he has no confidence in his game. It was sad to see him looking pass all the way when he was streaking down the left side in the last minute of the second period. He should have put his head down and fired one on the net. I'm beginning to think that Bart needs to spend some time in Abby to get his confidence back.
Bruins are probably regretting they traded away Seguin.

Hartley makes me wish for Brent.
We have no defensive awareness at all. It is getting tougher and tougher to make fun of the oilers giving up a lot of goals.
We now sit second last in the league giving up 3.68 goals a game. That is unacceptable and someone needs to be accountable. Rebuild or not we should never be that bad defensively.

so they raised prices this year by your logic demand is up...well guess what it isn't
raising prices on a year when they knew the payroll was dropping by 20 million has totally turned me off of buying tickets. No market formula changes that.
the proof is in the stands and its only gonna get worse (except when the other teams fans are filling the building)
