Because he should have stopped which goal of the last 8 that have gone by him? IMO, He has not let in a soft goal. Last night, he gave them a chance to get back in it.

Oh I completely agree with that, goalie's are more a product of the team in front of them than most people realize. Even looking at only EV SV% can't tell you the whole story for goalies, as the quality of chances are so different from team to team. It's by far the toughest position to evaluate. Good goaltending can win you that 1 out of 10 games that your team fails to show up to, but for those other 9 games, it's the team that dictates who wins, not the goalie.

I am really surprised by the forum today (I know I shouldn't be). I figured most would be pleased that the Flames fought back and played better at the end, after going down 3-0. St. Louis is a legitimate cup contender, playing at home against a depleted Flames team that was picked for dead last in the league. Wow.
Honestly, after the first 10 minutes, I thought this would be a duplicate of the 9-0 Boston beatdown, but the team didn't give up. The fans shouldn't either.

I guess people have been spoiled by Kipper the last few years. Berra's probably been the Flames best player since he started playing here.

Exactly.

Not to mention, the team didn't have their best skating legs last night and most of the Flames looked slow as hell.

When I said poor goalie I meant I felt sorry for him. Our defence is horrible.

The team was lucky not to lose by 6 goals.

The Flames had all of 2 scoring chances in the second period and they scored on both of them. The Blues, although they have are among the lowest in terms of GAA, have poor goalie SV%.

They score was very flattering for the Flames.

No. Flames were pretty close to sending the game to OT and winning.
