Yeah, exactly. Burns might be the only example, I got mixed up in my last post, drafted as a forward, moved to defense etc. Federov really only played defense when Bowman wanted to wake him up.

Will be tough for Janko to make the team. Three forwards are currently in the NHL that were invited to summer camp, so it's unlikely they make the team. Then you have 10 guys who IMO would be considered locks.

Think you have 3 spots for the rest of the guys then, and I'm not sure Janko fits in that group. If any of the NHL guys get released then I would say he has no chance for sure.
I don't think Shinkaruk, Rychel and Petan qualify as "locks", and probably not McDavid either, for that matter.

Tournament is a ways away still - likely that it will affect the final roster decisions.

Jankowski is a bit more of a long shot to make it, but he is definitely on the radar. He will have to do very well from now until then to get invited to the camp again, and then has to steal a spot I would think. At the very least, he is on the radar.

Dustin Byfuglien has moved back and forth a lot.

Two nice goals doesn't equate to a sure thing. He does look more confident though. People enjoy setting themselves up for disappointment in this site all the time.

A lot scouts compare him to Jamie benn... He was a surprise pick that made team canada at the world juniors and has developed into a great player. I hope that's what we have with jankowski... Sounds like he's developing well and he certainly looks like a game breaker when you look at those highlights.

People also are excessively negative, and try to make others as miserable as they are in this site all the time too...

I like this comparison. He looks as crafty, and he sees the game well.

I've been under the assumption that McDavid is a lock for this team. The discussion around him has been whether he'll be utilized in the top 6 or riding the pine.
