I thought they were given drugs to keep them small? Pretty messed up either way.

I wonder if Stevie Y is kicking himself hard right now for taking good ol' Hamhuis on the trip to Russia. How Gio is staying home instead of him is beyond me.

He should be kicking himself... Did any of you see the lack of compete by hamhuis in the corner when he lost the battle for the puck on the open net goal tonight? Can't believe that guy is going ahead of giordano!

He was likely preserving himself for the Olympics, he has to know even the slightest injury will get him booted

Hamhuis was a head scratcher every time I see a highlight of him the puck is usually bouncing off him going into his own net

They need a left handed partner for Weber so they went with Vlasic (best option) and Hamhuis (probably familiar with Weber) so no complaints here

We will see a top six of

Keith - Doughty
Bouw - pietrAngelo
Vlasic - Weber

I think if CAN needs a call-up it would be:

1. Seabrook
2. Gio

LH - Giordano

Is it too late for Giordano to swear allegiance to Sweden?

I agree... It is just so ridiculous that hamhuis is going instead of giordano. There is literally nothing that hamhuis does as well as gio does. Giordano is better in every way.

It's not even like the St. Louis debate where Rick Nash is playing as good or better than St. Louis right now. Both before and after the Olympic team roster selection, giordano was and is playing better than hamhuis.

Doesn't Gio also have the experience of playing in Russia since he went to the KHL for a few years? Not a big factor.. but it should warrant some consideration you would think
