Going with a 6-5 Flames win. Habs will lead 4-0 early and Joey MacBrutal will get the yank. Flames will storm back after the Habs sit back on the lead and Ramo will be great. I really dislike MacDonald.

Phew! Thanks for clearing that up for me. For a minute there, I wasn't sure who Vinny was talking about!

Big night for baertschi... 2 goals and 1 assist. Monahan gets his 3rd goal. Glencross gets one too. Flames win 5 - 3. Unfortunately, Bourque will probably have a big game as well.

It will take some time getting him in the flow of things.....

He didn't even spend the first shift on the first line (even though the lineup sheet said it would be him). I've not seen him on the ice in a top 6 role yet with the flames.

Rene Bourque will be suiting up for his 500th NHL game tonight. The Flames love to host milestones.

You don't happen to sit in this section, do you? Because this is a very specific prediction.

if not for the 2 bonehead turnovers the Flames likely win that game 3-1. Joey Mac had a good game not sure why everyone is so upset

Galiardi should NEVER be on the 4th line. If that's how deep this team is than we need to trade a couple forwards here. He's our best forechecker and our second fastest if not fastest skater. He's determined, hardworking, skilled, young, and pumped to be playing for his home team. What more do you guys want from this guy? I demand you show Galiardi respect!

I'd rather it be a games played milestone than a goals or points milestone, like it usually is.

Looking forward to another exciting game to watch.
Should be interesting to see the TSN guys change their tone on Calgary, given the recent games and successes.

Not to mention he's a PPG player in the early season. Guy is better than people think.

I know kipper had a bad year last year but a lot of us are still used to the days when our goalie would come up with that big save to make up for those mental mistakes. The flames don't really have that with macdonald in net.

Uh, he redeemed himself pretty damn well the other night... Save of the Year candidate for sure.

It's funny that people are wanting the Flames to play Baertschi and Monahan like the Montreal plays their young guys when that is exactly what Hartley is doing.
Last season Galchenyuk (18 year old rookie) and Gallagher (20 year old rookie) were technically the fourth line, played with Prust, and both Galchenyuk and Gallagher averaged under 12 minutes per game.
The Flames are developing Baertschi (20 year old rookie) and Monahan (18 year old rookie) exactly the same way this season as Montreal did with those two last season and people are mad.

Montreal did an amazing job at slowly getting the rookies in last season. I gained a lot of respect for Therrien as a coach last year.

Canadiens take this one 3-1. Sean Mon scores the lone goal.

All goalies have those kind of saves though. It is not really a skill save, it is a desperation hope the puck hits me save. Even MacDonald said he was just hoping the puck hit him. For the amount of soft goals he allows a couple highlight reel pure luck saves is not going to change my mind. There is no upside to MacDonald, he is a journeyman goalie.
