Much, much better quality watching GLC via ps3 app. Online version is 3Mbits bitrate with 30fps framerate...ps3 is 4,5Mbit with 60fps!! Huge, huge difference.

Got mine hooked up through the Apple TV and i'm using an unblock service.

Was able to watch both CBC broadcasts last night on GameCenter. Quality was quite good, and i'm definitely happy with it.

The true test will be the TSN broadcast of the flames game this Thursday. I'm assuming that most people were watching the regular CBC broadcast OTA HD or standard cable last night.

Do you have a link for that? I last tried CI on the PS3 a couple seasons ago, and it was very obviously 30 fps. When did it change, and is that confirmed anywhere?

I donīt have any link, just eyes :-) As for the 4,5 Mbit, that was announced last year somewhere. As for the framerate, there is no need for any confirmation, you just see it. Like day and night. They started with this in the middle of the last season. I think GCL app for ps3 works fine so far.....Last year this change brought some issues, changing bitrate, rotating circle all the time etc......So far it is not an issue this season.....

I'm with Shaw in Vancouver, I got CI Ice for $170. A bit of a discount because I am a "Shaw Buddy". We stopped receiving access to GCL a couple years back,

Watched the games through my Apple TV as well last night, quality was definitely higher than last season, absolutely no choppiness and very clear picture. Will be interesting to see if quality continues, as I am not paying for cable this year so this is really my only option.

Same here on Vancouver Island. Heck of a deal as the quality is top notch. I've had CI for 3 seasons now and love it.

No PS3 here, do you know if the 360 app has better frame rate than online?

apologies for asking something that may have already been discussed here, but can you provide any reference material on the "unblock service" aspect of your set up please?

I had NHL CI last year and thought I would try out Gamecenter this year. Overall I am really impressed.

I tried it on my Apple TV, Xbox, laptop, iPad and iPhone.

Apple TV - quality was decent, the sound was a little off though.
Xbox - I was really impressed with the app. Quality was really good
laptop - I was really impressed with the quality.
iPad - I thought it would be a little choppy and the quality would be a little worse, but it was really nice.
iPhone - quality was pretty bad, but I will likely never use my iPhone to watch games.

I'm getting the same thing on my PS3. I couldn't find anyway to fix it online, just a bunch of people complaining about the same problem.

I watch it on my iPad & it's great.

Ideally I'd watch it on m PS3 but the app doesn't seem to be available to UK users. Anyone else find that?

Can you just change the DNS on your Apple TV to get out of market games?

Signed up this evening, couple questions.

I'll be late watching the Canucks game, might miss the first. What kind of DVR functionality is available? Would I be able to start the game from the beginning even once it's started. I think I can but I'd like to do this without knowing what the live score is.
