I always liked Ralph for Bernese.
It's a fitting name for such a derp-y breed (in a lovable way)

If not already suggested, I like Barclay.
Or Wooford.

Which would be reduced to Bark or extended to Woo-Woo in real life use.

Go with a horrible racial slur, then when anyone complains about you yelling it, explain that it makes you uncomfortable too but that you can't help it because that's his name.

Thanks everyone for the great ideas...
We ended up picking the name 'Jasper'. Being a Mountain dog, I wanted to somehow stick with that theme. Having a town from my home province made it personal - for me anyways.
Banff, or Canmore didn't have the same ring to it.
Thanks again for the great ideas... I'll post pictures after we get him this week.

I feel like the kid in school who could never guess the number of jelly beans in the container. Such a letdown and not even a thanks for the fine name of Ruff.

Jasper is a great name, love the context!
Be careful with Berners... My buddy started with one, then added another, then decided to mix it up and try a Newf... and another.
Gateway Dog.
