So three guys each bigger than the one they're tackling all manage to conspire to throw the smaller guy on his head? Really? Maybe they were finishing the tackle and he landed awkwardly. Call one guy for deliberately dumping someone on their noggin, sure. A gang tackle? I'd like to know how you would even orchestrate something like that if you wanted to.

I hate to agree with Riders fan on Simpson's penalty but that was a good call by the ref. There is no need for Simpson to slam the guy on the turf. Hefney is coming to help him put Sheets down. That was a classic stupidity on Simpson's part that caused them the game.

Dressler looks like he's 150lbs soaking wet. Bad call.

Simpson dumped a guy on his head pretty much by himself, probably because he's an idiot. I don't think it's really that hard to believe.

The suplex wasnt a gang tackle it was Simpson finishing it by dropping him on his head. They had him wrapped up. No need for that kind of play.

The difference in time of possession this half was ridiculous. That's the ball game right there. Stamps couldn't get anything going on offence. Cornish needed more touches

Honestly, with every injury, Drew Tate comes closer to becoming an Ottawa REDBLACK. #CFL

Some of those drives were aided by crap calls as well.

Calgary needs to balance their playbook, but the reffing was awful between these two teams, as usual.

The reffing was not that bad. They missed Lewis alone offside at least 3 times. Offence will always get the benefit with offsides... PI penalties, the one in the first half was iffy but otherwise fine. Stamps got worked in the second half. That's the game story.

Still, these teams are the top 2 in my opinion as of right now

The forward progress rulings helped the Riders both times though. People can't justify the Dressler call if they agree the play should have been blown down on Calgary's earlier stops.

Sask always gets PI calls, those didn't cost Calgary the game. The fact that they rarely used Cornish in the 2nd half after taking the momentum into halftime is a serious flaw in their play calling. I agree there.

Gott deserved to be kicked in the balls or knocked out cold. I know I would have down it. No need to be a jackass while the guy is defenseless on the ground and rip off his helmet when the game is clearly over.

Stamps got a great spot on one of their first drives as well, it happens both ways.

I sure wish the Stamps would put BLM in there instead of Glenn. See what the kid can do, so that when push comes to shove we don't end up losing him to the RedBlacks, and are left with Glenn and Pierce V2.0.

Suplexing dressler is illegal regardless of if the play is over from the rule book

Unnecessary physical contact, including but not limited to, running into, diving into, cut blocking or throwing the body on a player who is:
i) out of play, or
ii) should not have reasonably anticipated such contact by an opponent, before or after the ball is dead; throwing a ball carrier to the ground after the ball is dead.

So the question becomes should Dressler have anticipated being suplexed. I would argue no therefore the correct call was made.

Definitely a bad call on Simpson there. The whistle had not been blown, but that's not the reason for the loss, we couldn't stop a second down in the second half. If what you're doing isn't working, do something different!

Anyway, we will beat them next time. They aren't that good, and we are better than that.

This isn't meant to sound jerky but he got hit.

Nothing crazy and the hit might not actually have done it based in Huf's comments but nothing crazy happened.
