It's still July 2nd.... Feaster isn't going to take a vacation now until the start of the season.

Martin St Louis, too.

True.

But I gotta figure this out in NHL 13!

Hopefully the flames can trade Stajan for a 4th rounder now... Maybe a 3rd rounder if we are lucky.

I would like lines next year to be:
Sven-backs-jones
Glencross-knight-cammalerri
Galliardi-monahan-hudler
Bouma-reinhart-stempniak
Jackman

possibly in Bouma's spot?

What I'd probably do at this point (if we sign Backlund):

Cammalleri - Backlund - Stempniak
Baertschi - Monahan - Hudler
Glencross - Stajan - Jones
Galiardi - Knight - Reinhart/Jackman/Bouma

More and more I think Monahan needs to go back to junior.

Sven-Backlund-Cammy/Hudler
Glencross-Stajan-Stempniak/Cammy
Galiardi-Knight-Jones
Bouma-Reinhart-Jackman
Horak

Looks like one of Cammy or Stempniak will be moved for sure.

Doing lines is fun, but fairly useless to do at this point. You'll have 2-3 injuries coming out of camp.

Yea, my backhand was pretty much non-existent as well, so that was a factor. Being able to go backhand to forehand in tight to get a quick snapshot away and gain a couple of feet of angle can help a ton too.

Considering the lack of top end talent and a mishmash of similar level lines, this team will probably look to roll 4 lines with almost even playing time with some spread out over PP/PK. Having this many talented and youthful players is definitely not a bad problem to have.

Probably had permission from the Sharks to talk to him earlier, so definitely a move they've been thinking of.

Good option to flip at the deadline too if we're out of it and he's having a good season.

I like it. We have a ton of forwards competing for 12 spots however. Galiardi needs to be signed I think as he is a RFA. I think he is a shoe-in for a roster spot and adds some much needed size and toughness.

It is going to be a very interesting training camp. Hudler (W), Cammy (W), Glencross (W), D. Jones (W), Stajan (C), Stempniak (W) and Backlund (C) are all guaranteed roster spots. I would think Galiardi (W) is a very safe bet to make the team. That leaves 4 spots (2 W, 2 C) for Horak, Reinhart, Baertschi, Monahan, Knight, Hanowski, and Byron and the vets Jackman/B. Jones to compete for.

Looks good. I think Cammy Stempniak stajan and Jackman will be traded before the trade deadline.

Also Flames need to start addressing the blueline lol
