I truly feel that, lacking provocation, Keith does not routinely play "dirty" hockey.
I asked you at least a couple of times and you never replied. What did you think of Keith's high stick on Sobotka? What did you think of Simon's two-handed slash (Simon was not the initiator). Clean? Dirty?

I did not see either incident...srry...

However, Simon had developed a reputation of initiating questionable play for years before, and was noted more for physical play than for skill with the puck, But I can't comment on the quoted incidents, as I did not see either.

I linked it and asked you about it. All along you're arguing that Keith isn't dirty and you didn't bother watching Keith's high stick on Sabotka that is seen as a dirty play?

I had checked that link...and it took me to the TSN page...videos at work are blocked so I did not see the clip...

Ok, though, I saw the clip now...

Careless? definitely. Dirty? yes, probably. Was it an initial attack or retaliation? I did not see that game, so I couldn't place a context on the hit.

I CAN place context on the Carter and Sedin plays...and both were retaliation for prior incidents. And I don't deny that Keith can be provoked into stupid stickwork...I don't believe that he would be alone, among players in the NHL in "Getting even".

If you feel that that makes Keith a "dirty player" that is your perogative, I disagree that his overall play is "dirty", but I will grant careless and undisiplined when provoked. And that kind of stickwork retaliation is not unique to Keith.

Step back and listen to yourself here. In your initial response to me in this thread, you disagreed with my comment that Keith's reputation as a dirty player is certainly growing. You now admit that Keith's high stick on Sobotka is probably dirty and regardless of what you think of Keith's high stick on Carter and elbow to Sedin's head, both acts led to suspensions. And there are other dirty acts that Keith did that went unpenalized such as Keith's slash on Sedin on a breakaway. Keith's reputation as a dirty player is growing.

Like I said, Chris Simon's two handed slash was stickwork retaliation. Bertuzzi's sucker punch of Moore was retaliation for hurting his best friend. Are you going to argue that context is everything in these two incidents?
