Why would the Jets pick him at this point in the draft? passing over Mueller, Pulock, Theodore and Bigras? The NHL final rankings has him the 22nd NA skater or a 2nd round pick.
Domi at 12 and Horvat at 10 not far enough off the board for you?

Because I think Zadorov will be better player... Even you should be able to figure that out.
It was between him and Wennberg, Pulock was third, those other players didn't come into it.

Future Considerations has Zadorov at 11 as does Craig Button. TSN had him at 9 in their April rankings, ISS had him 8, McKeen at 7. It's hardly off the board. Bigras, Theodore and Mueller are more consistently ranked as very late first round or later. I doubt Zadorov gets past about 15.

The Islanders select Alexander Wennberg
I wanted a winger since the isles have good center prospects, but had to take the bpa, and Wennberg apparently can play all three forward positions
Quote:
Trent Klatt, Islanders Player Development
Wennberg is a very smooth skating, efficient Swede. He plays the game well at both ends of the ice and has a great deal of hockey sense. He is more prone to setting up goals, yet one should not underestimate his ability to score.

Wenneberg would be a solid addition to the Isles. Gives Tavares another weapon.

Don't worry they need Wennberg because the Isles will be trading the flames Brock Nelson for cheap.

I PMed Dagger this morning notifying him it was Buffalo's selection again. If there is no response in 12 hours, then we'll just autopick and move on.

Time to move on, it's clear that he isn't making his pick.

I tried to PM FightinSioux but his account doesn't allow private messages.

He's on the board frequently, I'm sure he'll make his pick in time.

FightinSioux's profile indicates he was logged in this morning, but obviously didn't make the pick. I'll give him until noon Calgary time to make his selection or we'll have to autopick.

Thanks. Check again at noon Calgary time and if there is still no pick for Detroit it will be all yours.
